‘Not the time f*cker,’ I said, taking on another foul beast. CANNON I pounced on it, forcing my paw into its ribcage and slashing its beating heart out. A black heart. As I ran into the forest, searching for Katrina, one jumped on my back and grabbed Shadow by the shoulders. It tried to bite our head off but Shadow swung his head to the ground, causing it to move over us with its claws still in his shoulder and its back hitting the ground with a loud thud.
