Hope. A fragile thing. But enough.

he spits out before storming off. I try to lift myself off the ground, but as I turn, an unbearable pain radiates through my ribs; he’s done a number on me. I cussed out loud as the muscles in my stomach jerked and the pain increased. I felt black spots blur my eyesight as I shouted in pain. I closed my eyes so hard that I could see white spots everywhere. I was panting and I couldn't breathe as the pain closed around my lungs like someone was constricting my windpipes. I couldn't scream anymore because I couldn't breathe and my throat was on fire. I've been screaming so much that my throat was raw. I stopped screaming as I tried to breathe. Inhale, Exhale. I said to myself in my head. I kept repeating that in my head as I tried to do the same but I couldn't do the same so I fainted.

“Why don't I ease the pain up a bit?” A gutteral cry slid past my lips as she tugged harder. This time, I was certain she wanted to peel off my scalp and leave my insides open. While I struggled with the duo behind me, Blue’s hand latched on to my wrist. Stars clouded my vision, but I was still well aware of blue struggling with my wrist. She was trying to take it off, they were trying to steal from me. “Please.” I muttered underneath my breath. Pain courses through my entire body system and I would do anything for it to stop. “Please, just let me go. I'll give you anything you want.”

Blue! That night, I fell asleep on our bed, weak and broken. That very night, I dreamed of Blue again. I sleepwalked again. I cried in my sleep again.
