My dark brown hair, interspersed with honey-blonde highlights, clung hopelessly to my scalp, and my clothes felt heavy and uncomfortably damp, weighing me down. I was exhausted to no end cleaning up all the water and trying to dry up everything that had gotten wet, including myself. The lights started flickering with each thunderclap.
