“The Council is concerned. Unauthorized interference during a sanctioned Hunt is a problem. Unregistered chemicals. Four prey removed from the forest under your authority.” “Prey?” I repeated. Scott looked at me. “You know what the Hunt is.” “No,” I answered quickly. “I know what I was *told* it was.” I stepped closer to the table. “People were dragged into that forest.” “That's how the Hunt works,” Scott replied. “Not like that.” “You weren't there,” he snapped. “Neither were you.” Silence fell over the room. I turned to Darren. “You’ve seen this compound before? Where?”

“What the hell?!” “I know. Me too. But look, I can’t explain now. I need you to tell me if Meg’s okay—does Cara need to come back? And I need to tell you how to find that thing. Henrique followed my movements with his eyes. Then, the forest came to life.

She muttered seductively, rubbing my arms, " Tomorrow! You will be mine, my king. I can't wait to go on heat for you." Even until now I haven't felt anything for her yet. Her touches made me disgusted. I tried to pull her down from my lap, " Julie! Let me work. We will know it tomorrow." The door suddenly burst open and Luka entered followed by Ivan who shouted excitedly, " Uncle KONSTANTINE! We have found a baby deer. Look at it. It will be our pet."

All three of them looked at me weirdly, probably thinking what business a cry baby had being there in the first place. I managed to say hello to them and introduce myself without my last name just to break the ice. In exchange, they did the same. One of the hunter's name was Akio. The next hunter's name was Miguel, and the third hunter's name was Danjuma; he asked me to call him Dan. There was no female in the house, and I figured it was because ruthless Ruth would not allow it. "I asked them to come so you could have sparring partners," Gavin said, and I smiled at the guys.
