If I Lay Here Novels & Stories

I’m on my own. Tiredness washes over me as I lay down on my side as I bring my knees to my chest. I’m cold, so damn cold. I close my eyes and let sleep take me.

Lisa I lay here with my eyes closed, unable to really fall asleep. I've grown used to sleeping in Lucious arms and now it feels a bit strange to not have him next to me. I lay here in bed through the night, thinking about Lucious. I may be upset with him, but I still can't keep him out of my thoughts.

I didn't want to fall prey to the constant sweetness her voice possessed. "Hi Grace. Um, I wanted to know if you were up for a physical discussion." I was currently lying on my bed, lying on my back with my pillow clutched in my hands while I crossed one leg over the other. "Um, why?" She called in an unsure tone, pretending she didn't understand the message I was trying to deliver. "Please, it's really important." I said. She sighed for a moment and reluctantly called back in agreement. "Fine, where do you want us to meet?"

My insides are screaming as panic sets in as flashes of the last however long, blaze through my mind like a forest fire. "My name is Layla. I don't know where I am, or how I got here. I don't even know what day it is. I was running and fell off a cliff into a raging river and that is the last thing I remember. Brady and Jace - " I start to explain what happened when he slams his fist into the cement wall cracking it. Whoa.

Put on my night clothes. I lay down on the bed. Stared at the ceiling. I didn't sleep. Ps: conversations could be better, I know but I'm using a transcribing method.

Olivia's Pov I lay there on my bed in my top, I feel a sense of vulnerability and rawness, stripped down to my most basic self. It's as if the weight of the day's challenges has been lifted off my shoulders, and I am left with nothing but my thoughts.

I shouldn't lie down, I shouldn’t join her, but I do. I lay down on the other side of the bed and even though I don't want to, I keep my hands to myself. As I close my eyes to rest as well, a thought passes through my mind, this will be the last time I'll lie down beside her and not hold her close. For today, I will let her have her much needed sleep.

Whatever Lia thinks she has, whatever plans she's setting into motion - it can wait. Because right now, in this moment, I know what's real. And it's lying right here beside me.

Blaise curls up on his chair for a nap and I. I lie awake. No amount of drugs could put me to sleep right now. Not with Isabella on my mind.

"I am fine, I just need to lay down." Lisa did not stop her with more questions but let Layla walk away. Reaching her room, Layla went straight to bed, laid down on her comforting blanket, and closed her eyes. Her breathing slowed as she wondered why she was so worked up. She allowed herself to drift off into a restless sleep. She kept tossing and turning, unwilling to get up just yet. Eventually, she stood up, went to her bathroom, splashed water on her face, and retreated to her safe haven. LAYLA’S POV
