If I Lay Here Novels & Stories

I walk through the long hallway until I finally reach the living room where I'm hoping the entrance to this place is. I should never have slept with him. I'm so stupid!

I drop the phone beside me and lie back slowly, staring at the ceiling, my heart heavy and restless. Tomorrow, I’ll know.

Because if I stay here, if I close my eyes— I might never wake up again. I collapse finally, unable to move. Hah! Shit!

So i brush away the dirt on the floor with my leg to create a comfortable space for me to lay my head, even though the room is filled and stupid insets. I lay on the ground and shut my eyes, and immediately I slept off.

I am not defined by what is on my body, only what's on the inside and right now that's hate. He turns away like I'm no threat and begins prepping his equipment. I take a quick breath and climb onto the bed. Comply, is my silent mantra. I wiggle a bit and pull the blanket up and over my back. I will not lie here with my back bare before he begins. I settle into the bed and close my eyes while listening to the sounds. The dread returns when the small noises stop.

Kia I didn't sleep. I lay in the dark and pressed my hands against my stomach and turned the terrace over and over in my mind, every word of it, every silence, the weight of his arms and the way he had said hello to two people who couldn't hear him yet. I'm on your side. I wanted to believe it with an intensity that frightened me.

“You’re hopeless‚ bro. But αlright. Sleep. I won’t sαy αnything else.” Αnd I let my body sink into the couch‚ my eyes finαlly sliding shut… knowing dαmn well sleep wouldn’t fix αny of this‚ not until I hαve her trembling beneαth me.

Whatever Lia thinks she has, whatever plans she's setting into motion - it can wait. Because right now, in this moment, I know what's real. And it's lying right here beside me.

Turning back to the river feeling peaceful and sleepy shifting a little wanting to lay on the floor “What are you doing” Rolling my eyes “can't you see ,i wanna sleep obviously” He frowned “no don't sleep on the floor “ Glaring at him “i am feeling sleepy so where am i supposed to sleep and didn't i tell you to shut up” Taking off his suit leaving out only his white inner shirt, what's he doing,he lays it on the floor, signaling for to lay,oh I opened my mouth wanting to protest but ended laying anyway “thank you” He nods lifting my head and placing it on his laps

I couldn't agree less, lying on the bed. “How soon will you be here?”
