Flashback In a sudden flashback, Hazel found herself standing on the familiar ground, clad in pristine white attire. She scanned her surroundings in search of the mysterious girl from before, but she was nowhere to be found. Determined, Hazel retraced her steps, leading her to the same ominous house that had haunted her dreams. With an unsettling feeling gnawing, she pushed the slightly ajar door open and stepped inside.

The fear he felt, the raw terror that had haunted his early years, flooded his being once again, as if he was reliving those painful moments all over again. It was a vivid and vividly unsettling flashback that seemed to have been triggered by the current situation that unfolded before him. Every detail of that childhood home, from the worn-out furniture to the peeling wallpaper, rushed back into his consciousness with remarkable clarity. The same creaking floorboards, the same flickering lightbulbs, all seemed to be alive again, pulsating with the same eerie atmosphere that had gripped him during those trying times.

RAI Everything around me faded into black and I was sucked into a subsconcious grey space. Slowly, images began to appear in this small space of mine, bringing me more confusion. You evolve them.” The white floor beneath my feet flickered, then shifted into a projection — rows of metal chairs, operating tables, restraints. A memory. No — a flashback forced into the room. The shadow walked through the images, trailing its hand along a metal chair. “Do you remember the first time you heard me?”

Once remembered, the memory can help you to face more of the truth. You can then express your pent-up feelings about the memory and continue on your path to recovery. Think of the flashback as a clue to the next piece of work. No matter how painful, try to view it as a positive indication that you are now ready and willing to remember.
