I push myself up, my vision swimming, and as I try to find my footing, I feel something crunch under my heel. The remote. I’ve stepped right on it. There’s a spark, a sharp pop, and suddenly, the house is plunged into absolute, crushing darkness. The music cuts out. The amber lamps die. The electronic hum of the locks being powered shuts off, but the heavy mechanical bolts don't slide back. Silence. Pitch black. Deckard is breathing hard somewhere in the room. "Look what you've done! You stupid, stubborn girl!"

My breath becomes visible, the tips of my fingers become so cold I swear they start to go numb. Addison’s chattering jaw clenches shut when a loud menacing hiss fills the room, it only stops when an opaque figure of an older man manifests a couple feet to my left, he glides across the room oblivious of me. Then without warning the night light flickers before going out plunging the room in thick, suffocating darkness. The man becomes completely camouflaged.

The room covered in darkness, with only distant bursts of fireworks and lanterns outside providing a small light. Summoning my courage, I swallowed hard and walked further into the room, gently closing the door behind me. The tray of drinks wobbled in my unsteady grip as I let out a "Hello?" My voice quivered as I strained my eyes, attempting to make out any signs of life in the darkness, but it was useless; the room remained covered in pitch-black. Sweat slid down my forehead, and the thick tension in the air did little to help my unease. I resumed my habit of biting my lower lip and took another step forward into the chilly room, my efforts to see in the dark fruitless.

The room was simple yet elegant—modern furniture, soft ambient lighting, and a calm, intimate atmosphere that felt almost… intentional. “What is this place?” I asked, my voice low with curiosity. “A private room,” Dark said, locking the door behind him with a soft click. “It’s soundproof.”

(POV: BRIANNA) The man pulled his fingers out of my mouth slowly. A thin string of saliva connected my lips to his fingertips in the dimness of that dark room. Booth seven felt like a studio entirely isolated from the rest of the world. The crimson illumination cast massive shadows across the velvet walls. I could barely make out his features. He wore a heavy black mask that covered almost his entire face. However, as he moved, the light caught his perfectly aligned, stark white teeth—a dangerous contrast to the darkness enveloping him.

A small round table stood at a corner with some black gadget bags on it. " I think...I forgot to say my good morning to you," " It's morning already?" It was hard to tell whether it was daytime or nighttime in the kind of place we were " Where are we?" Jones mosyed further, turning on the switch, sending away the red light and replacing it with a blue one. " This place is called the dark room," He didn't answer my question so I strode to him, courageously standing in front of him. " Where are we?"
