Love, and Military Life? What was I thinking?

Love, and Military Life? What was I thinking?

I didn’t like onions unless they were cooked. “Is it ok?” He asked, I think he was nervous. I smiled at him; he was still on the other side of the counter. I said yes. And that I was glad there were no onions. “No onions, only because I forgot I didn’t have any. Usually, I put red onion in the salad. Why? You don’t eat onions.” “Nope, not unless they are cooked.” He grinned. “Glad, I didn’t have any onions then. Don’t want to make you eat something you don’t like. So, tell me, what else don’t you like.” I took a bite of the salad and thought about it while I chewed. When I swallowed the bite of salad, I looked him dead in the eye. He was walking around the counter, and to the seat next to me

Chasing Dylan

Chasing Dylan

"Mmm, your little brother just loves this vinaigrette." I turned to her, feeling my blood beginning to boil. I slapped her salad off of the island and watched as all of the contents of the bowl fell to the ground. Her mouth dropped open in shock, and before she could say anything, I stepped over the salad and walked out of the kitchen.

Wildflowers

Wildflowers

Sage’s POV “The salad is ready!” Kehlani yells out for everyone to gather for dinner. I stand next to her, placing the flowers I picked with Corbin a day ago. The red petals cut through the lush green of the salad and looks pretty in contrast with the almonds and feta cheese that’s also in it.

"What did you decide, hun?" My smile was a bit wider this time. "I'll have the dinner salad." She reached in front of me and opened the menu. "That's nothing but a few pieces of lettuce, a single cherry tomato, and two slices of cucumber. Try the chef salad and I'll have Dusty throw a little extra on it for you." Of course my stomach picked this exact moment to gurgle, so how could I argue. "Umm, okay, with vinegar and oil please." Exercise and I didn't mix, so I had to settle for walking at a fast pace when I could and constantly watching calories.

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

“Something that is not battered and deep fat fried. A fresh garden salad with spinach and arugula and butter lettuce, bursting with crunchy vegetables.” “You had a salad yesterday.” “I had chopped iceberg lettuce with a few carrot shavings and one cherry tomato—that is not a salad. And since when is a cup of fruit cocktail topped with sliced bananas considered a side of fruit?” “Since always. I can pull over and you can forage for fresh crunchy greens in the ditch if you like.” “Oh shut up. Now who’s being mean?” He sighed. “Look, it sucks that it annoys you, but do you want to know why I need sunflower seeds when I’m on the road?”

As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Only up to the first 3 stories...and I loved them! I wondered why the book was so big but it's broken down with several stories so when I get time, I'll read them accordingly. Pretty well written/edited and certain to make you desire more than you can handle.

The Goddess of Wisdom and creation. (A dark gods novel)

The Goddess of Wisdom and creation. (A dark gods novel)

I used my fork to skim through the salad. "It's good just take a bite." Alexander said as he reached over and poured some blue creamy sauce over the salad. Some of the small white balls in it blossomed when the blue sause touched them. Definitely not something I've seen before. "Okay." I whispered. I wouldn't be rude and if it was nasty I would charm my disgust away.

Dirty Family Secrets

Dirty Family Secrets

Our food arrived just then, interrupting the invisible bubble that had silently enveloped us. I stared at the girl as the waitress set her miniature salad in front of her. That meager salad would probably fill her up completely, I thought to myself, almost laughing at the absurdity of it. Thankfully, the server placed my two sushi rolls in the middle of the table. She clearly shared my tacit concern that Grace needed more sustenance than a mere side salad.

His Wicked Games series

His Wicked Games series

He's spent most of his life without having to think about that sort of accountability. I'm not sure what to say, so I pick up my fork and look down at my plate. Pear and arugula with soft crumbled cheese - wow. If this is the salad course, I can't wait to see the rest. My stomach rumbles again, and I dive in with as much ladylike grace as I can still muster.

The Betrayed Wife Is A Secret Billionaire

The Betrayed Wife Is A Secret Billionaire

Rolling the long sleeves up that dwarf me, I button up the front and then pull my hair into a messy bun atop my head. I find him looking gorgeous as he sets plates on a long tray on which sits a large green bowl of salad and a pretty bowl of exotic fruits. “Coffee is on, you just need to pour and bring it out with you. I thought we could eat outside, we have beautiful views of the ocean, the sun on our faces. It doesn’t get much more perfect than this, right?” “Perfect, give me a few seconds.” I catch him casting admiring glances my way wearing his shirt.

HIRED AS A BILLIONAIRE'S WIFE

HIRED AS A BILLIONAIRE'S WIFE

Did Dad say something to him that made him turn his back on me immediately? I stabbed my fork at the poor broccoli as frustration delved into me. “Thalia, I see that you like salad.” Ralph switched my attention to his plate of salad, pushing it slowly to my plate. “Oh! Thank you, Ralph.” I guess this fresh salad was giving me peace of mind but as I was about to eat the broccoli, someone pulled the seat next to me and sat. “Can I join you guys?” I choked as soon as I heard his firm voice.

The storyline is awesome but the grammar and spelling need work. I would reread the paragraphs a couple of times, so I can understand what the author is trying to interpret. Other than that a good read.
