Our chatter continued, filled with giggles and light-hearted teasing, until Sophia chimed in from the background, announcing that she and Ariella were planning to head out for groceries.
As I moved to prepare lunch, I couldn’t help but mention the beautiful weather. “It’s such a great day outside,” I said, slicing vegetables for a salad while Noah ambushed me with kisses, stealing my focus.
“You need to stop,” I said, trying to maintain my concentration on cutting the cabbage. “I have to concentrate!”
Once I finished cutting everything, I mixed the salad with mayonnaise, waiting for the fried rice to cook. Just then, Noah approached, and I nearly jumped, startled by his sudden presence.
