“What did you decide, hun?” My smile was a bit wider this time. “I’ll have the dinner salad.” She reached in front of me and opened the menu. “That’s nothing but a few pieces of lettuce, a single cherry tomato, and two slices of cucumber. Try the chef salad and I’ll have Dusty throw a little extra on it for you.” Of course my stomach picked this exact moment to gurgle, so how could I argue. “Umm, okay, with vinegar and oil please.” Exercise and I didn’t mix, so I had to settle for walking at a fast pace when I could and constantly watching calories.

I sprinkled some white sugar over the fruit and veggies salad before putting it back. Then I grabbed Hellmann's mayonnaise and spurted a good bit on the carrot, mixing it together before covering it up with foil and putting it into the fridge. It tastes better cold after all. I did the same with the fruits and vegetables salad. Once would think I was actually making food for a large crowd. " I said smiling before turning to open the fridge. My face lit up when I saw a plate of sandwiches. I quickly grabbed the plate then tucked the container of orange juice under my arm. I searched through the cabinet for two glasses. I poured two glasses of orange juice before finding some plates. I grabbed a couple sandwiches, putting two on each plate. "Oh yeah!" I said as I quickly turned around and went back to the fridge. I smiled when I saw the container of Grace's homemade macaroni salad. My mouth watered as I pulled it out, I can already taste it I thought to myself. I quickly scooped two large helpings onto each plate. I stood next to the settings as I anxiously looked at Addison. I drizzled some olive oil and balsamic vinegar on top, then gave it a quick mix. I then plated the salad and brought it over to her. She looked up at me, her eyes still swollen from crying. I gave her a small smile and sat down next to her. "Here, try this," I said softly, pushing the plate towards her and handing her a fork. "It's just a light salad, but it should be enough to hold you over until you feel better." May looked at the plate before accepting the fork. She says the last part and gives a slight frown. "I don't understand how being mated to him would put me in danger," I say, but I am cut off as the servers start to set our plates down in front of us. The plate has a spring salad with berries in it. My stomach growls again. I really hope they are going to feed us something more filling than this salad. Tasha starts to laugh. She hit her knuckles on my forehead. "Ouch! It hurts. Don't make me knock on you." I stared at her and rubbed my fingers over it. "Sorry, but you need to wake up." She smiled and began to eat the salad. I grabbed my spoon and filled it in half. I tasted sprouts with chopped onion and tomato, coriander, lemon, salt, and black pepper. "It's delicious," I smiled as I chewed. "Mom's recipe." She smiled. "Club tonight? " She suggested.
