I flinched. Xavier’s jaw locked. “That’s the northern perimeter. They feel it too.” Before he could shift form or reach the door, the air behind us stirred, footsteps echoing down the hallway. Elias appeared first, coat unbuttoned, expression grim, his usually composed features hard with alarm. “Alpha.” Rosalyn followed close behind, hair slightly disheveled, eyes sharp with fear she was badly trying to suppress. Maxine stumbled between them, pale, unconscious, half-carried.

Several rough-looking thugs stormed in. Rebecca jerked to her feet, startled. The apple and the knife slipped from her hands and clattered to the floor. "George Stinson! He grinned with his teeth bared as he spoke, flipping a butterfly knife over and over in his hand.

The guy is convulsing, saliva and bile spilling from his mouth as he grins maniacally at us all. "You'll never see it coming. You've got no chance." He spits out painfully before coughing up more bile, shaking violently in Levi's arms and then going limp. "Fuck." Levi yells, checking the mans pulse and Harrison, the Beta from Summer Valley screams something unintelligible while punching the cell wall. "What happened?" I look from the dead rogue on the floor, to the other one, equally as dead, blood and foamy green spit falling from his mouth as he hangs from his chains on the wall.

It’s perfect!” I take deep breaths as my fists clenched involuntary. Titan stirs inside me and veins bulge on my neck as I try to suppress him. “Are you not a fucken’ doctor?” Dr Stutter stumbles and almost falls.
