Injustice นิยาย & เรื่องราว

His eyes were steel, “Remember that tonight. You will not ruin his night with your-” “I would never do anything to ruin Marcus’s day. You know that-” Triston slammed his fist onto the table. My plate shook, my hands moving away from my food. “I don’t know that!” His voice boomed, “This isn’t a fucking game. I need his time here to be perfect.” I felt my breath being held in my chest. “You won’t ruin another thing for me.” With that, Triston stood up and left me at the table. Triston and I were like fire and ice. He burned, and I melted with him near me. I gripped the edge of the table before I stood, my legs wobbled, nearly giving out from under me-

Serena fought back with everything she had logic, empathy, passion but the momentum was against her. The older son sat rigid, jaw clenched, eyes flickering between hope and despair. Serena’s closing argument was both a plea and a roar. “Justice isn’t a game of assumptions. It’s a quest for truth, no matter how uncomfortable. If we convict an innocent man today, we betray that very ideal.” She paused, letting the words sink in. “I ask you all to look beyond fear. To seek what’s real. Because lives depend on it.” The room was silent. The judge’s gavel fell, signaling the end of the day’s session.

"Back when the Jeno Port scandal needed a scapegoat, you didn't hesitate to push me forward. My life wasn't a life then. Now that you see her as an obstacle, a bargaining chip to win me back, her life isn't a life either." I slowly shook my head, feeling the sheer absurdity of it all. "How did I ever give my blood, sweat, and even my life for a family like yours, for a man like you?" Lucio's face went deathly pale, his grip on Camilla loosening. Camilla slumped to the ground, shaking her head, her eyes vacant. "No, no," Tears streamed down her cheeks. "It's not like that, Lucio loves me." Lucio turned and slapped her hard. The side of her face swelled instantly.

Otherwise, don't blame me for what happens next. Their laughter cut straight into me, sharp and merciless. All I felt was utter humiliation and pain. I sat alone outside the courthouse, consumed by a despair I had never known before. Weren't courts meant to stand for fairness and justice? Why had they become a sanctuary for the powerful? Tears streamed down my cheeks, blurring my vision. All I wanted was justice. Why was it so impossibly hard? As I bent forward, the medals slipped from my pocket. They clattered against the stone steps before tumbling all the way down.

an elder said. “But isn’t that the basis of justice?” Jax said. “She was born with the mark She didn’t choose it. If a law is unjust and punishes people for circumstances beyond their control, then it must be reexamined. “The mark is the crime,” the prosecutor said. “Its existence is forbidden.” “Prove it,” Kain said. “Show me who she’s harmed.” The argument went back and forth. An elder raised a hand. Kain stepped forward. He raised his hand. The oath was spoken.

dangerous and unapologetic. These sorts of people treat lives as if they didn't matter because they knew they were powerful enough to live unhindered. Why would Jim get involved with this sort of person? Was he blackmailed? Brewster ruffled his hair and closed his eyes in despair. He couldn't let Jim be treated the way he was. He couldn't let Jim ruin his life for anything and definitely not for him. He sucked in a deep breath. He glanced at the closed door before him and decisively turned around. He had to find out who Jim was with, and to do that, he needed Ace's help.

He turned to me, "Baby, is there a problem?" My face filled with heat at his words. Baby? Are you kidding me? Though I do like the way it sounds when he says it. His arm slipped around my waist as he waited for my response. "Umm, I was just trying to explain to him why I need today off..." my voice cracked with emotion, "But he didn't want to listen." "That's not true," Trey stuttered, "Don't lie. I was listening." Niko raised his hand, effectively shutting Trey up, "So here's the thing," he told him with a glare, "Justice will not be working today or any day for at least the next two weeks...maybe longer. Understand?"

The next day, during a televised inter-university debate, he delivered a closing argument so precise and cutting that even the opposing panel applauded, it was about law and mortality. “Where did that fire come from?” a classmate asked afterward. Zero paused. Fire. Yes. It felt like that. Something burning beneath calm skin. “I just don’t like injustice,” he answered simply. The words surprised even him. Injustice. Why did that word feel personal?

A murmur ripples through the room before dying out. “he was removed from this world because he refuses to shelter injustice.” Fingers curl briefly, then relax. “He was murdered by the enemies of this country. Now we all are here to seek justice for his death.” He turns a fraction, names landing like blows. “We have evidence against Peter Smith, Jason Smith, Jennifer Smith, Richard Hale, and Sofia Hale of Smith & Hale.” He looks back to the judge. “The prosecution seeks the highest penalty permitted by law. I rest my speech.”
