I muttered, turning slightly toward the window to hide my smile. My thumbs moved fast over the keyboard. Me: Are you sure you’re not naming it that to jump on the hype train? I mean, I’m basically the city’s headline scandal right now. Grace: Of course not. It’s my way of saying I’m proud of you. But fine, what should I name it then? I leaned back, thinking for a second. Me: How about Douceur? Grace: Oh my god. I love that. It sounds sexy. Me: It is sexy. The kind of dessert that makes people forget they have morals.

He was so close I could smell the leather of his cut. “So if you don’t go by Colton these days, what should I call you?” I crossed my arms angrily over my chest, glaring at the opposite wall. I could think of more than a few names I had called him over the years. None of them fit for decent company. Not that Colton Smith was decent company. He was an asshole. “Ruin.” I blinked up at him, my head snapping in his direction. They called him Ruin? “Yeah, I just bet they do. Did you get that name after you fucked up my entire life?”

His eyes quickly became soft, he was about to speak but someone interrupted. "Stop daydreaming, Carnelian!" someone shouted from nowhere. My forehead quickly wrinkled as my eyebrows almost crashed to each other. "I'm not talking to you, Bane!" I shouted back. Well, I got to thank my memory for remembering his full name. Killix Bane, a too-cursed name. I smirked. Imagine someone naming you Kill, then your surname is Bane, which means the cause of ruin. I chuckled. "Is there anything funny?"

She commented offhandedly, her voice still smooth and nice. ‘Bitch’. I muttered to myself. She just insulted my walk and told me I wasn’t a lady. Gosh, it was mum and her catty friends all over again. I hated attending parties when those vapid monsters were around. They loved to politely ‘correct’. Translation, they will insult you in very polite words and you have no choice but to bear it. Anna was always speared through because she is beautiful, loved by everyone and somehow always wore something they approved of.

I walked up to the triplets, a determined look in my eyes and a sly smile lingered on my face as I walked towards them. "You know, it's really fascinating how you all think you're so superior and the best because of a little formality added to your name But let me tell you something, the only power you have is the power you allow others to have over you. I smiled crookedly placing my hand on my lips and few person's erupted in laughter while the rest glared at me for insulting their favourite.

“Yes. And I refuse to let my daughters be named something ridiculous.” I smirked. “Like what?” He scrolled. “Okay, first of all, no fruits. No Apple, no Peach, no Clementine.” I giggled. “You don’t want a daughter named Mango Russo?” “Sienna.” I snickered. “Fine. No fruits.” He kept scrolling. “No weirdly spelled names. If I see a name with extra unnecessary letters, I’m out.” I grinned. “So no ‘Aubryigh’?” He looked personally offended. “That is an abomination.”
