“Go. I’m right behind you.” “No. Stay here,” I say as I roll off the bed and grab my jeans. It’s too late. Pippa is already crawling across the mattress and out of bed. I throw a t-shirt her way and leave the tent. The camp has been dumped into anarchy. Everyone’s running around, screaming and crying. As I watch, one of the wolves loses his balance and falls into the fire. He goes up in a woosh of flames. I try to get to the unfortunate soul, but I can't make my way through the crowd.

Chapter Thirty Seven (Wilder POV) I look around me and I am not in my room, the hospital or anywhere I recognize. This isn’t even the same woods I walked through years ago when I was in a coma. In fact they aren’t woods at all, it is a giant meadow and I don’t know why but I am attempting to make my way to the tree in the middle. As I approach I see Zander curled up around something. When I approach I can see it is a very small wolf, Spencer’s wolf to be exact.

The pack gathered at the den's edge, bodies shifting in the shadows, fur rippling over skin as they changed. Howls ripped through the night, deep and wild, sending chills down my spine. I stood there, heart pounding, the air thick with the scent of pine and earth, mixed with the raw musk of arousal from everyone around me. The den's stone walls faded behind us, but their weight lingered in my mind—like a home I was starting to claim, even if it scared me. Chapter One: A Chance at Normalcy ARIANA The forest sang beneath my paws. Every stride sent a rush of wind against my fur, the scents of pine and damp earth filling my nose like a soothing balm. Out here, I wasn’t the girl with blood on her name. I wasn’t the orphan whispered about in hushed tones. Out here, I was wild and free, my wolf untamed beneath the early morning sun.

Chapter 2: Saved? *Claire* Fear gripped me so hard that it was getting difficult to breathe. Instinct had my eyes snapped open when a rogue crashed through the trees and into the little clearing I had planned to camp out for the night. “Shit!” Jumping to my feet, I cursed under my breath and started running for my life. He was large and covered in patched fur. His vicious eyes glinted in the dark, and he bared his teeth threateningly.

I genuinely felt joy for them, seeing their happiness. However, the longing in my heart became unbearable, and I reached a breaking point. Determined to confront my feelings head-on, I decided to embark on a journey to the Wildwood pack alone. Ignoring the potential consequences, I made my way to the territory, driven by an unyielding desire to see Theda once more and take her with me this time. As I arrived at the Wildwood pack, tensions rose. The pack guards, sensing my intrusion, moved to confront me, their aggression apparent. A fight seemed imminent, tensions escalating between me and the guards who sought to remove me forcefully.

Would someone dare hurt her in her brother’s territory? I almost trip on a branch in my hurry, but I catch myself in time, bringing me back to reality. Chapter 12 "Some one help me!" Pressing myself against the sturdy tree, I find the nearest branch and use it to swing at the wild dogs. Their barking and howling fill the air and their sharp teeth snap towards me, dripping with saliva. If help doesn’t come soon, I will be their dinner.
