The Haven Of Shadows

Zenith’s POV Inferno’s fire still shimmering faintly along the villa’s boundary. I know the flames are not real flames, not the kind that destroy, but Alejandro says they are alive, an enchantment born from his wolf’s essence. Safe. Untouchable. That’s what the fire means. Ishir is going to help the pack who has arrived get the supes out from the underground. I’m not paying attention until Cedric shouts at me. “Bank right, Tana!” I do without thinking and a harpoon goes whizzing by my neck. Cedric throws a fire ball which flies past my head and the harpoon begins burning. “Let’s burn them to the ground, Tana!” I pull my fire and begin blowing it around the arena. Kaylani has been flooding the inside of the spectator stands and I blow my fire on her water. The hunters who are treading water and trying to swim to an exit begin boiling alive as the water heats to extreme temperatures.

I have read this and the other 3 so far. I am on Anacalgons story. These books are unlike anything I've read before. The way she blends all of the books creating one story within 5 books. Having the different points of views has been a new experience for me. Very well done author ............

Sacred Flame

Sacred Flame

Come to me! I had my group throw incense into the fire that we had burning in the south corner. My group begins to chant as I drink from the chalice of black waters, “Charge our blood, turn as poison, nectar to the wise. Breed within us black serpents, sharp of tooth and merciless of fang. We shall be the unfaceable weapons, fill our bodies with venom.

Aarnik left no chance of making fun of Ivaan. "Both of you stop! I can hear everything.. take this ." That man raised his stick towards them and fire flames crawled out of the stick forming enormous flames. "Woah! We underestimated him.." Ivaan and Aarnik both clenched their fist and ice fire emitted from their bodies. "You Jerk, how dare you underestimate us?" Ivaan yelled, throwing his fist at that man. "I think he was in illusion that we're just normal kids!" Aarnik threw another fist on him.

"I hope you believe that." "I do." She kissed him again. "I can't imagine my life without you." "Same goes," he told her, easing his tongue into her mouth and tasting every inch of her. "I hear arson is what you call an incendiary event, but I think we've got something pretty incendiary going here, too." "Oh, I agree." He nudged her to move off his lap. "What?" she asked.

Eternal Embers

Eternal Embers

Then she opened it to the page bearing her great-uncle’s final incantation: “In the hour when flame falls hollow, let truth’s spark burn bright forsake illusion, embrace the light.” She chanted the words softly in Latin as Alexander sprinkled the amber dust into the brazier. At first, nothing happened. Then, just as the last syllable left her lips, a single spark leapt from the sketchbook’s spine and landed amid the dust. It flared into a slender column of flame white and pure—illuminating every shadow in the crypt. Isabelle’s heart soared as the hollow flame filled with substance. The brazier flamed steadily, its light radiating warmth and clarity. In that instant, the specter that had haun

Her breath trembled as something inside her cracked—not with breaking, but with release. She closed her eyes, drawing the wildfire closer, not to crush it, not to run—but to face it. The whispers tore at her, but she pushed back with her own voice, raw and burning: “I am not your kindling. I am not your ruin. I am flame, and flame is mine to carry.” The wildfire shuddered, sparks bursting outward like a thousand tiny stars. The dark edges burned away, leaving only fierce, golden light that wrapped around her like a mantle.

Forgotten Embers

Prologue II: Pyre, 3113 Pyre Av 5, 3113 Stephan Caliphus, King Everything was on fire the night he finished the book in the back room of a borrowed house. He laid his glasses down on the desk in front of him and rubbed his tired eyes. The crackling of flames could be heard as the city burned all around them. The blood curdling screams of the men in the streets where they died was enough to make the blood of the fiercest warrior run cold, but he was a man of empathy and it hurt him more than it did the others.
