When the bully falls in love
Perhaps I was the darkness that came into people’s lives and made them want to give up, perhaps it was me.
‘‘What?’’ he asked again, hoping that I hadn’t said that I wasn’t okay.
‘‘I Am Not fine, I-I am not okay,’’ I whispered again.
‘‘Oh, you will be okay, kiddo, don’t worry about it,’’ he said as he tapped my shoulders in playful way. ‘‘Why didn’t you go upstairs, freshen up and join us, maybe you will feel better,’’ he encouraged as tapped my back again.
That confirmed my theory and made it even clearer. No one actually cared, every time a person asked if you are okay, it’s because they want to hear you say I am okay, or I am fine, so they can forget about you and go on with their lives.
