” Marie squealed. “Thank you, James. What was he talking about?

Today I wasn’t here for business. James, the doorman, a tall man in a neat dark uniform looked up from his desk near the entrance. He smiled politely when he saw me, the kind of respectful smile he always gave when I visited. His voice was clear and professional as he spoke. “Good afternoon, Mr. Marchetti,” he said. “Are you here to see your son?” I nodded once, keeping my face calm even though my jaw felt tight. “Yes, James. I’m here for Rob.”

Chapter 16: The Mark By morning, James was already out of the house before the sun could properly rise. His heart was racing as he drove straight to Martha’s apartment. He didn’t even wait to knock twice before she opened the door, her hair scattered, her eyes heavy with sleep. “She’s alive!” he shouted, breathless, eyes wild with something between fear and hope. Martha squinted at him, clearly irritated. “Do you know what time it is right now?” she asked sharply. “It’s six in the morning, James. What the hell?”

His eyes were also closed indicating he clearly stressed. But the thing that made Cal worry is that James was okay a few hours ago when he left for the fields. He was as usual down as he was missing Miles, but it wasn't this bad. Something definitely happened in these two hours. James was a pacifist; he would never jump into a fight. He believes to talk things out instead of throwing hands at each other. Both brothers are same so, one thing was clear he didn't get in a fight but then maybe he might have gotten in to a conflict.

No one had seen it but James had a really serious look on his face, a look that he is ready to kill someone whenever he has the chance. ‘Marvin, how are you still this strong? Was my intuition correct? Will I have to start a war with your packs? Either way, I will soon find out the answer. I just have a very important meeting to attend today that I didn’t have time to tell him my proposal because of the fight earlier.’ James thought as he disappeared within the forest.

Despite every survival instinct telling me not to meet up with men I didn’t know personally, I did it anyway. I met James at the movie theater. He as a Warrior, he didn’t have rank, and he was from one of the surrounding packs. He was proud of where he came from and liked what he did. He didn’t want more or less. He was working a job nearby for a short assignment. He wasn’t expecting to be here long. My hands were sweaty and icy as I walked through the theater doors. I saw him instantly. He stood out like a sore thumb. He was glorious, really. Tall, blonde, blue eyes with broad dependable shoulders.

Mars shook his head dejectedly. “Don’t feel bad, you’re doing a lot better,” he observed, lifting one side of his mouth up in a cocky smile. “You are one dangerous man, James Olympia,” stated Mars. He chuckled softly. Spotting the young man striding towards them from across the field, he did a double take. “Look out,” James shouted then, “the British are coming! The British are coming!” He threw off his shield and slid the sword into the ground so the he could welcome the newcomer.

2019, March 27th (One hour later) James checked his phone one last time before getting on to the plane. Still no word from either Aaron or his mom. Were they okay? James went forward with confidence, but unexpectedly, Thyme Sylis, who was said to have no achievements whatsoever, put up quite a fight.
