When I heard Damon's footsteps, I saw that Jasper was listening, so I grabbed both cheeks and turned him away from the stairs so Damon couldn't see. "And what are you doing, my loves?" "Oh, nothing. You are cute when it's dark." I said, smiling.

Jayce. Her voice drew his attention over to Jasper, who leaned over Lily, pinning her down with his legs. She sobbed uncontrollably, but muffled by something. Jasper pushed her legs apart further. Jayce let out a horrifying growl that made the Vampire jump. He grabbed the back of his head and tossed him away from Lily, hearing a crack as he collided against the door. He hovered over Lily protectively, snarling aggressively.

Jasper nervously cleared his throat as he said, “We weren’t expecting anyone.” “Obviously,” Lila managed to choke out. Freya gave a smug grin. Sliding her hand over Jasper’s chest, she moved past him to sit on a nearby overstuffed chair. Her petite frame looked out of place as she sank into the cushions with a satisfied look on her still lovely face. “We are not only working on the vampire mess, but he is studying me,” she said as she preened her hair. “If he can see what has been altered in you lot, we just might get you back to original lycan form.”
