Jeannette Walls Dad Novels & Stories

Jason nodded, knowing Wilson was right, but didn’t want to deal with Dan and his shit at the moment. “I haven’t been here in awhile. I like what you’ve done with the place.” He complimented. “It’s been years since we’ve been here right, Janet?” Janet nodded. “That’s why he is our father and not that scumbag Dan. You have always been there for us Wilson. When we had nowhere else to go.” Janet kissed Wilson on his cheeks hugging him lovingly. “It was the least I could do since your father was having a hard time dealing with your mother’s death. He took it rather hard and couldn’t raise you guys. As his best friend I stepped in.”

I asked. Mom nodded sadly. A terrible thought occurred to me. "What about their kids?" There were 4 Wallace children who were too young to receive payments from the Trust yet. "Them too," Mom replied. Her voice quivered and she began to cry. My legs wobbled and I sat on the sofa. Mom sat beside me and we hugged. I'd never met anyone in the Wallace family. My father, Jeffrey Wallace, dumped Mom and divorced her while she was pregnant with me. Mom vowed to never have anything to do with the Wallaces ever again. She moved from Tennessee to Maryland, and that's where I'd always lived.

"So you're the one who sent the video." Instead of responding to that, Wynette kept cursing out Tyler a few more times before wailing again. "Do good men even exist in this world? Steph, I just found out that my dad has two illegitimate sons. To think I always thought he was a good husband and father… Who would've known that he'd been hiding the truth from Mom and me all along? He's been keeping a mistress and her children on the side for over two decades now!" "What did you say?" Stephanie was stunned.

Elliot stiffened, and I just shook my head, not impressed. Mom and Dad saw us and pushed my wheelchair aside, pulling Elliot to safety. They were angry with me. My dad snapped, "Your brother's only worried about you, and you accuse him of having bad intentions. How did we raise someone so ungrateful? "If you can't have kids, it's not just Janet who suffers. You'll anger the Wallaces too. Do you really think this marriage is a joke? Today, I'm making the call. Janet and Elliot will spend the night together!"

he said again, a little more aggressive while ripping her clothes off. Jeanette tried to cover herself from her father, a father that once was such a loving father, a father that put her on a pedestal and treated her like a princess. Mateo got back on his bed and relaxed, taking his glass of whiskey and cigar from the side table before leaning back in the stacked-up satin-covered pillows, “don’t hide your beautiful body, I want to see what I am getting on your eighteenth birthday.” “But daddy, y-you don’t mean to tell me that y-you,” Jeanette stumbled over her words.

his father's deep voice came from inside. Jonathan pushed the door open and walked in. "Have a seat, Jonathan," Mr. Morel said, motioning to the chair in front of his desk. Jonathan sat down and looked at his father, who was staring at him with a serious expression. "I don't like her," Mr. Morel began. "Don't like who?" Jonathan asked. "Your slut of a wife. I don't like her one bit." Jonathan frowned. "Dad, we've already talked about this," he began.

I try to keep it strictly business. “She quit. She wasn’t long-term anyway; she graduated college and moved out of state with her girlfriend.” “You know, I dated a woman once who had a girlfriend.” “Yes, Dad, I remember. She also was my nanny. And then you dated the one after as well. Unlike you, I don’t hire nannies as forms of entertainment or flavors of the month.” His insidious smile falters. “You don’t have to be so vulgar, Weston. When will you stop throwing my past in my face? Your mother has forgiven me.” He flicks the paper back up with a harrumph.

I found my dad leaving the gym with a towel around his neck from his workout. "We need to talk." "Do you mind if your old man showers first?" "I mind." He sighed knowing this was THE talk. We entered the den and my father took his favorite reclining chair. I sat in the less comfortable Victorian loveseat. "Start at the beginning. Why the hell did you hire Senator Jacobs' son?" "He's the best. He went to military school, became a Marine, and then a cop. You needed the best." I vaguely remembered my father complaining one time about Senator Jacobs' stupidity for not pulling strings and getting his only child a plush military assignment during his enlistment. This wasn't what I was after, thoug

I will miss him a lot, although he was rude and authoritative he always had my back. 'Your mom doesn't seem to like me' Jennet whispered, I stared at mom and she was having a chat with a slim lady. 'She is just aloof' I said and we both walked towards my dad, he was having a drink alone. He must miss his dad already. 'Dad' I called out and his gaze was focused on Jennet. 'Dad meet Jennet Cruise, my fiancee' I introduced and he gave me the same look mom did, what's going on here? I knew they were hiding something from me.

I was at least glad that Dawson had looked far worse. “You’ll stay in the room by us for a day or two,” William offered. I nodded, wanting Jeanette to be close to someone else if I wasn’t around. Although I doubted I’d leave her side for a bit, I hated seeing her so upset. “Draven, my office … now,” dad said, walking away. I closed my eyes and prayed that dad would believe me. How could he not? He was rational and made sense unlike my idiot brother.
