She approached the man who seemed to be immersed in his busy solving puzzles so that the streaks of thought on his forehead could be clearly seen. Regardless of manners, Hilda took a few puzzle pieces and put them together in the blanks. Sure enough, the pieces of the puzzles were a perfect match. The man’s head shot up and threw a sharp glare at Hilda who continued to quickly complete the puzzle, until all the pieces were in their proper place and there was a picture of a Summer Breeze view as seen from the hills.

The puzzle of this barbarity unsettled me, a rare crack forming in the otherwise composed facade I wore. Just a gut feeling.” They turned a corner—and stopped. The Worm was there: Lizzi’s robotic drill, humming faintly, its massive bit idle in the dark. Jessica exhaled. “It’s the Worm.” Sean frowned. “Thought it was supposed to stop after it broke through.” He followed the yellow power cord—then paused.
