I waited for him to tell me 'JK, LOL, aunty you take things too seriously', then I would warn him never to joke about stuff like that and storm off. However, the look on his face was that of grim seriousness and desperation. Not at all one of mischief, but I guessed it was part of the act. He wanted me to say something before blowing up with laughter, I was tired of waiting. "Can I laugh?," I enquired although I had no desire to. If he was trying to joke, it was nowhere near funny. "Aunty mi, I'm dead serious. This is no laughing matter," he responded with an expression as serious as mine.

“Jay. Don’t you dare laugh. I’m being serious.” “I know, I know,” I wheezed, still holding back a grin. “It’s just you have no idea how funny you look right now, like your brain’s trying to reboot itself.” But under the humor, my chest hurt. Because I didn’t have an answer. Not a real one. Not one that would make sense to him or to me.

“You must be careful always.” “Are you my dad?” I joked around. “Should I be one to be worried about you?” he hissed again. The sides of my lips started to decrease. “Why are you so serious?” I tried to strike a joke, but I was a little bit pissed now. “And why are you kidding around?” I rolled my eyes. “Because there is nothing to argue about!” “Why are you raising your voice?” “You’re pissing me off!” He hung his head, while I clenched my teeth. What is his problem? Does he not know how to joke around? Or does he even know how to joke?

The almighty joker finally said something serious. "Like seriously?" Said Daniel as David increased his laughter. "Why are you laughing?" Daniel asked as he felt his ears stand to listen to the answer to his question. "What's so funny?" Daniel asked. "Ever since I knew You, today is the first day in my life I ever saw you talk so serious." David said as he burst into laughter for the second time. Daniel, hearing David, he sighed and spoke. "Oh! That's why you are laughing?" He Said. He sighed for the second time before he continued talking.

“I –” “Alright, enough,” Joker snarled, totally done here. “Jesus fuck, you really think we wanna listen to this shit? You’re fucking disgusting, both of you prick-loving losers.” “Yeah, Joker’s right.” Nails lifted his chin, and the circle of men tightened. “I’ve been lenient because I have to admit, this had a certain entertainment value, but now I’m fucking grossed out. You going to come quietly, Cuddy, or do we have to drag you?”

Again, the same emotionless voice. "Umm.... that... what." He didn't get to end the sentence when JK cut him off "I'll pay you the amount you ask. Just say the digits. But then he doesn’t belong to you anymore" JK completed his sentence with alot ease. Like he knows what he is doing. And he do. "I have heard that you are very dangerous man but after meeting you I don't think all what people say is true" Vincent tried to ease the environment between them. "If I were you, I would believe what people say." JK said smiling which sends shivers down Vincent's spine.

“You aren't wearing the ring I gave to you anymore. Is that why you think it is just fun?” “No, ” I said and wet my lips. “Look, that was a joke and nothing serious okay?” He deepened his eyes into me. “Kind of looked like it because it's something you bring up all the time and to you it might be a joke but to everything being said as a joke, there's an ioto of truth in there.” This was getting a little out of hand and I was wondering why he was so serious about the issue.

I find myself asking him angrily, with a very loud voice, forcing him to quickly turn his head to look at me with a serious intensity in his eyes. "You really want me to prove it to you right now? Don't worry, probably when the first person strikes you and renders you senseless, maybe that is when you are going to understand this is not a joke, Serena. Okay, we need to be serious right now. I am not fucking kidding." It is so hard to ignore the intensity in his voice, making it plainly obvious to me that this is a situation whereby we can't just cross our arms and allow fate to take its course.

His eyes locked onto mine. “If he ever hurts you again…” His words dropped like a stone in my chest, and I froze. “I will willingly kill.” I blinked. Shock stole my breath. My first reaction was disbelief. Then, against my better judgment, I let out a laugh. It was harsh, incredulous, but it came out anyway. “You… already know how to joke now, huh?” Jaron’s lips twitched, almost the ghost of a smile, but his voice remained steady, calm, and terrifyingly sincere. “I’m not joking.”

Was he being serious right now? I was livid to say the least. “Are you fucking joking right now?” I roared, but he smirked even though my eyes were shooting daggers at him. “Do you think this is funny to me?” No answer. “I fucking hate you.” I slapped his chest, pushing him hard until he was nearly tumbling over. But he recovered fast and regained his composure. His smile dropped at my words and only then did he realize how serious I was. “Fuck! I’m sorry. That was stupid of me. I just...”
