He kept telling himself. After some hours, they finally stepped foot into the Crescent pack. Uncle Bob and Mr Samuel's teeth clenched. The smell of wolves only reminded them of the death of Eleanor's mother. The only thing that crossed their mind was to end them all at once. "Let's go." Detective Rob told them after they looked around a bit. The smell of wolves drifted into their nostrils. What annoyed uncle Bob the most was how they lived their lives as if they deserved to live when they were only monsters that deserved to be wiped out from the face of the Earth.

Blake did not say a word, indifferently smoking. Trevor laughed, "I said, after you came back, no matter how you look at it, something seemed off. Brother, you're quite fierce." Blake rolled his eyes at him and threw the cigarette butt he had just sucked a few breaths on the ground to extinguish. “You talk a lot of crap now. If you have the time, try to persuade your brother to stop as soon as possible. Otherwise, don't blame me for being cruel.” Trevor was still smiling as he did not seem to mind, "Didn't you already exert pressure on the Smith Family? Don't worry, my mother will not sit around and do nothing.”

“ He’s not even close to doing that yet, I'm not impressed.” As the conversation flowed, Blaire felt herself becoming more comfortable, buoyed by the kindness of Damien and Rachel. After a while, the crowd quieted as Mr. Harold Smith, Damien’s father, stepped up to a small platform to address his guests. Blaire watched as the tall, silver-haired man took centre stage, commanding attention with his dignified presence. He thanked everyone for coming, his deep voice carrying through the room as he spoke of family, legacy, and the importance of connections. His words were eloquent and precise, every phrase tailored to leave an impression on his audience.

I took my back when the man nodded at me, but then got halted when I saw Alpha Jacob walking toward us. “Brother! Finally, you came. I’ve been waiting for you for quite some minutes now.” What? Alpha Jacob has a brother?

I believe that this conversation is long overdue.” I stood, nodding once in greeting. “Elder Mathew. I wasn’t expecting you. I would have prepared things had I known that you were coming. I do apologize.”

I knew that our argument must have pissed Blake off that day, but if anyone was to be hurt, it was me after he had insulted me the way he did, and though I knew that he didn’t mean it that way; I was still hurt by what he said and how he looked at me. “Katerina, can you come here?” Professor Diana called. I nodded, getting up from my chair, heading toward her as I sat on my knees in front of her desk where she was fiddling with something on the computer. I could hear Blake muttering ‘show off’ to Alana who shushed him, and despite the clench I felt in my chest, I kept my eyes on the professor who called me, waiting for what she wanted to tell me.

Liam was playing with him, so he stopped suspecting him, but there was something he didn't know. “Ooh, you don't know but something I wanted, and coincidentally, you will help,” Mr. Smith said in excitement. “What?” Liam asked. “I have my grudge against Joseph Welton. I want you to help,” Mr. Smith said. “What?” Liam asked. “You can have Rose, but first I want to blackmail Joseph and take my revenge,” Mr. Smith said. “Ok but…” Before Liam could say, Mr. Smith cut him off, “After you can take full power over the weapon market and I took retirement.”

he smirked. Blake's POV Her lips curved upward into a smile bright enough to blind me, she probably caught on to what I was suggesting. She gasped, still smiling from ear to ear, "Blake Wilson, are you saying what I think you're saying." I returned her smile with one just as bright but it's not as if I could help it, her smile was contagious like that, "Depends, what do you think I'm saying?"
