Jordan and I peered in the direction of the voice. It seemed like someone was hiding in a tree. The voice sounded oddly familiar. "Don't shoot! It's me—Josh!" A figure leaped down from a pine tree to our right. I recognized Josh, the orphan from the Thorn Pack. "What are you doing here?" I rushed to embrace Josh, noticing how he seemed taller yet thinner, his shoulder blades sharply defined. "It's a long story." He sighed, though his face quickly lit up. "But I'm so glad I found you!"

' he answered back, his voice wasn't snappy like I expected, I thought surely he should be exhausted and angry by now. Joshua found it then howled to get my attention, I turned to look and saw he had dug a hole and found a metal door under it. I quickly bent down to open it, the door was heavy but I channeled all my energy to my muscles and opened it. Just like what Joshua said, it was indeed a very shallow path. "Did you guys make it this shallow?" I complained out loud, it was even too narrow for Joshua, he'll have to crawl if he's to make it out.

I was going to lose him too and I just couldn't take it. "I have an idea!" Joshua burst out "my wolf can make it, ditch the horse and climb on my back" he was brilliant, his wolf could scale that distance in no time. I quickly dismounted and smacked the animal on the behind and watched it gallop in the direction of camp. Joshua followed and then I watched him transform into a beautiful russet beast, I stared in awe as he shifted. I then climbed onto the back of the large animal and held on tight as he darted off at an alarming speed.

But tonight, everything would come out of the shadows. “You look… amazing,” he said, clearly taken aback. “Indeed,” another voice chimed in. Josh walked in, now rocking a beard he didn’t have before. “I’m the babysitter,” he said after seeing my questioning look. “I know, who would have thought a Beta would ever be demoted to being a babysitter?” he shrugged. I never saw Josh as the type who ever wanted kids, never mind actually looking after someone else’s. “Josh,” Andrew warned.

Dark-haired and hazel-eyed, he is fit and muscular, his shoulders broad for his age and his clear open face wears a disarming grin. "I'd shake hands," he says, "but I can't with these on." He holds up hands already in gloves. "I'm Joshua by the way, but everyone calls me Josh." "You're in the boys' competition?" asks Jenny.

Josh moved to next Tom and pushed his hand away. "Share!" Josh growled. Josh had spiky gelled hair, brownish but bleached at the tips. He had an earring in his left ear that looked like a diamond. He is the son of the president of our realm. Isn't he just like me? He looks like an angel but is a demon," Theodore looked excited. Joseph was a little disappointed to hear the word best friend from Theodore's mouth. "Oh my god, Theodore. Breathe," Joshua laughed. He looked at Joseph and extended his hand, "Hi, I'm Joshua. I have heard a lot about you from Theodore. You are cuter than what he described."
