Back to Jo’s POV “This means you are not working with him anymore, right?” I look up from the container I’m filling with leftover food and over at Jude, who’s standing in front of the TV holding the remote. “What?” He gestures to the screen with the remote. “Him.” My eyes rise to the screen, where footage of Brent Harvey from today’s game is playing. It was his first game back after his injury, and he performed quite well. “Um,” I mumble, switching my eyes back to the container. When I turn to stow it in the refrigerator, I say, “I might still be.”

My Father, Mark Cruz, is the current Beta of our pack, The Royal Moon Pack, and my mother, Jennifer Diaz, is the Beta female. My Brother Josh Cruz is 18 years old and a senior in High School. *** Jude POV The Past This day had been an absolute clusterfuck. Losing two men to those fucking bikers was bad enough. Losing them because we had a rat was worse. I wasn’t sure who he was, not with certainty. Many things pointed to Andrea. He hadn’t been at Christmas dinner two days ago, but he was supposed to watch Josephine today.

I didn’t answer. He smirked. “You’ll get used to it.” I pressed my lips into a thin line, choosing silence over fueling his ego. The ceremony started soon after. Jude—disguised as Derrick—stood at the front, smiling like the perfect, reformed man. The council praised him for his “return” to honor, for his “dedication” to serving the pack. It was all a lie. A sick, disgusting lie. And I had to sit there and watch it unfold.

All these multiple questions flashed through my mind but the most concrete one of them all bugged me most. Who is J.T?

“I have been looking all over for you. Where have you been?” “Uh…I went to get some fresh air” The Red Moon pack's Alpha Mateo, mounted the stage, his voice boomed over the loudspeakers, interrupting our conversation. He was a tall man in his mid sixties. One look at him and you could tell he was breath-takingly attractive in his prime.

“I went to see Richard.” Jude’s face tightened, the warmth draining from his expression. “You did what?” “He’s awake,” I continued, my voice low but steady. “And he says he didn’t kill my parents.” Jude’s eyes darkened, and he leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees. “Sara, you know what he’s like. He’s a manipulator. You can’t trust him.”

Luna Maddy says, making Luke and Dad chuckle as they stand and walk toward him to shake his hand. Goddess, he looks so good! He wore nothing but basketball shorts, and he was no longer the young teen I once knew... that was for sure.
