My head snaps in the direction of the sound and I barely hold back the scream. Two rogues step into the room. They reek of rotten blood and flesh, their eyes are wide and crazed and I swear, the moment they look at Katherine, their faces twist into sneers. “Don’t come near us!” I scream as I panic. “If you dare as much as touch a hair on any of ours heads, rest assured the consequences will be catastrophic!” I try to threaten both men. She had to convince herself that it was just a nightmare as she cast her gaze on Jackson, praying nothing would happen to him.
