I raise my eyebrow. “What happened to being clear-headed when you’re with me, hmm?” I ask, but he only chuckles. “Just one glass won’t make us shitfaced. I can tell you’re nervous about being alone with me, so maybe this will relax you a little bit.” He says, pouring himself a glass, then pours me one. I look over into the picnic basket and notice other snacks in there; some were even my favourite. “You got Jujy Fruits?!” I ask, grabbing the packet from the basket and smiling excitedly. Jason chuckles and nods.

He returns a minute later with a huge basket in his hand . " You haven't ate properly since yesterday .. " He says , a hand at his nape , scratching on it through his uncomfortableness . He sets it down in front of me and hands me the TV remote . I look at the basket . There really were alot of things in here . What stood out most to me was the huge packs of different kinds of chocolate . There were also fruits , cake and alot of chips . I smile lightly and grab the chocolate pack . Opening a nutty chocolate , I start munching on it and groan .

I went inside and got a hand basket which I used for what I wanted, though I denied going to get tampons but I'm actually gonna get it cause it was part of what I listed to buy and some other things like toiletries, my body lotion and some fruits which we need at home and yeah coffee as well, we are out of coffee I noticed a guy staring at me as I bought the fruit, it was bit weird cause he followed me to every fruit stall I approached, then I saw him coming my direction "Hi" he greeted and in other not to look rude I replied him "Hi?" He was so overprotective and so watchful that it was annoying sometimes. Leo carefully brought out the contents of the basket, with unhurried movements he began to remove the food from the basket placing them on the table one by one. My heart fluttered a little at the gesture, even if he hadn’t said it in person. Inside were chilled Moscato bottles, a small wooden box of dark Swiss truffles, cartons of almond and hazelnut milk, a pack of organic blueberry smoothies, two packs of Pringles, pearled dragon fruits, pink guavas, and a crate of rare Japanese white strawberries, sweet, plump, and soft to the touch.

There was a picnic basket between them, neatly arranged with treats, fruit, cake, and two tumblers of chilled hibiscus tea. Katherine’s eyes sparkled with amusement and surprise as she looked around. “Wow,” she murmured, almost to herself. “So we finally got to do this.” Kingsley looked up from his end of the boat. “What’s that?” “This,” she gestured vaguely to the lake, the trees, the perfectly prepared basket. “It looks so nice. Like, oh my God. The food. The little cake. The whole thing. The basket even has those tiny embroidered napkins… It’s so Carolina. No wonder Carolina enjoyed this so much.”
