"Trey, it's about time you got here. Simone and I have been having ourselves a nice chat." Trey squints his eyes at both of us as he walks farther into the building. Under his right arm, he carries a basket wrapped in clear cellophane. The short round wicker basket has two handles raised to the sides to help keep in the pile of fruit from spilling over the edge. The rich brown color of the basket contrasts against the brightly colored bananas, apples, and oranges inside the plastic wrap. He slides the basket across the desk top to me. "A first day gift."

I raise my eyebrow. “What happened to being clear-headed when you’re with me, hmm?” I ask, but he only chuckles. “Just one glass won’t make us shitfaced. I can tell you’re nervous about being alone with me, so maybe this will relax you a little bit.” He says, pouring himself a glass, then pours me one. I look over into the picnic basket and notice other snacks in there; some were even my favourite. “You got Jujy Fruits?!” I ask, grabbing the packet from the basket and smiling excitedly. Jason chuckles and nods.

He returns a minute later with a huge basket in his hand . " You haven't ate properly since yesterday .. " He says , a hand at his nape , scratching on it through his uncomfortableness . He sets it down in front of me and hands me the TV remote . I look at the basket . There really were alot of things in here . What stood out most to me was the huge packs of different kinds of chocolate . There were also fruits , cake and alot of chips . I smile lightly and grab the chocolate pack . Opening a nutty chocolate , I start munching on it and groan .

I went inside and got a hand basket which I used for what I wanted, though I denied going to get tampons but I'm actually gonna get it cause it was part of what I listed to buy and some other things like toiletries, my body lotion and some fruits which we need at home and yeah coffee as well, we are out of coffee I noticed a guy staring at me as I bought the fruit, it was bit weird cause he followed me to every fruit stall I approached, then I saw him coming my direction "Hi" he greeted and in other not to look rude I replied him "Hi?" " I can see I'm not the only one who likes loquat" "Of cause it can't be just you, they're over billions of people worldwide who for some reason like Loquat"

He was so overprotective and so watchful that it was annoying sometimes. Leo carefully brought out the contents of the basket, with unhurried movements he began to remove the food from the basket placing them on the table one by one. The treats included a Caprese sandwich, cedar cheese, green salad, potato chips with guacamole dips, cookies then apples, and finally, some iced tea as a refreshment. When he finished bringing out everything, he kept the basket on the floor. "Who guides this place when no one is around?" She asked curiously. Since they arrived, she had not spotted a single soul in sight.

Before long, their little mouths were stained with blueberry juice. Even Atlas's lips had a hint of blue. We indulged in blueberries, picked some mangoes, pomegranates, star fruits, lychees, and even peaches... All the fruits were large and round, especially the lychees. I tasted one, and it was sweet and refreshing. I had a sudden idea and quickly had the gardener pick a basket full of fruits. Atlas was puzzled and asked, "What are you going to do with that?"

Marriane strolled in, wheeling Grandma Hartley. “I brought you some fruits,” Grandma Hartley said, setting a large fruit basket on the bedside table. “Adrian said these were your favorites.” My gaze drifted over the basket, which contained one pear, apples, a banana, an orange, and a bunch of grapes. A slow smile spread across my lips. Adrian probably had no idea what my favorite fruit was. He must have walked into the supermarket and told the staff, "Give me whatever healthy people eat." “Thank you, Grandma.”

There it was, two dome guards and a cart packed with items bearing my name. I signed the clipboard and rolled the cart in myself. My heart fluttered a little at the gesture, even if he hadn’t said it in person. Inside were chilled Moscato bottles, a small wooden box of dark Swiss truffles, cartons of almond and hazelnut milk, a pack of organic blueberry smoothies, two packs of Pringles, pearled dragon fruits, pink guavas, and a crate of rare Japanese white strawberries, sweet, plump, and soft to the touch.

There was a picnic basket between them, neatly arranged with treats, fruit, cake, and two tumblers of chilled hibiscus tea. Katherine’s eyes sparkled with amusement and surprise as she looked around. “Wow,” she murmured, almost to herself. “So we finally got to do this.” Kingsley looked up from his end of the boat. “What’s that?” “This,” she gestured vaguely to the lake, the trees, the perfectly prepared basket. “It looks so nice. Like, oh my God. The food. The little cake. The whole thing. The basket even has those tiny embroidered napkins… It’s so Carolina. No wonder Carolina enjoyed this so much.”
