The Luna Queen's Rebirth
Someone tossed a skin of water my way, and I flinched.
“Don’t worry,” Eyepatch said, picking up the skin, uncapping it, and holding it out to me. “No harm will come to you now. We need you alive for our plans to work.”
I hesitated, looking warily at the skin. I wanted to refuse anything these assholes tried to give me, but I also knew I needed to keep my wits about me, and dehydrating myself wouldn’t make things any easier.
Finally, with a huff, I snatched the skin and chugged the water. Eyepatch watched me the entire time. After, I threw the skin on the floor and wiped my mouth with the back of my hand.
