The decision was made, but making it safe was another matter. Damian spread a map of Atlanta across the kitchen island, marked with scribbled notes, street names, and routes Nova didn’t recognize. He moved like muscle memory, highlighting entry and exit points and memorizing traffic patterns. Nova watched from across the counter, fully dressed, boots laced, jacket zipped. Her hair was pulled back in a no-nonsense braid, clutching her coffee-like armor. “This is overkill,” she murmured. “It’s a safe deposit box, not a cartel raid.”
