He Came Back Running

He Came Back Running

The specific, dismissive quality of someone acknowledging an obstacle rather than a person. I had been running on empty since eleven this morning The Mason confrontation. The corridor. The admission about the declined test and the weight of what that admission contained. Victor Ashworth in the car park and the dinner I had already agreed to and the box on the desk I hadn't opened and the book with eleven words in it and the kiss in the study that had lasted exactly long enough to matter before this room had happened. I looked at Zara Collins standing in Alex's bedroom in the arrangement of someone who had decided she had a claim to it.

While I like it so far, it's difficult not to notice that AI is being used for a great deal of the story. It's painfully obvious because "person does thing with the quality of a blah blah blah that's decided something and rearranged themselves around it" That sentence structure is used ad nauseum

This is how you tell a story! I do pray it stays this way as I failed to look and see it was ongoing as I usually don’t read ongoing books because updates are not substantial but baby…!!!! This book thus far is a great read and can’t wait until it’s completed.

THE HUNT

THE HUNT

I thought, “so how can a curse by the creatures is superior? Perhaps... this curse really is a blessing!” The Moonless Pack is live up in its name! The sky fill nothing but either cloud of white or dark. Not even the rising sun can see here. So I exect it really devoid of celestial sight. But just as we reach the bustling place, the thundered strike the sky, filled the cloud with blue light. It rung my ears to a numb, and felt my heart shook as if feeling the calling within that thunderous strike! Then a pressure poured through me, getting stronger and stronger that I can barely look up without the beating of my heart to intensify.

The Runaway's Replacement

The Runaway's Replacement

The headmaid's footsteps echoed through the hallway as she approached Harrison. Her voice trembled. "Your son...Kai." Harrison's eyes locked onto hers, anticipation building. "M-mine?" The Head Maid's hands clasped together. "I saved him, sir. Lyra's baby. I couldn't...save her, and it feels like she's mad at me." Tears welled up in Harrison's eyes, streaming down his face. Joy and relief washed over him. "Thank you," he whispered, voice cracking. "That's...awesome." The pitch in his voice increased. "Can I please see my Kai?"

His Runaway Angel

His Runaway Angel

She eyed her sister’s side profile as her attention darted between the laptop and her dinner. “How come?” Hana asked. “In the beginning, she kissed the dragon rider,” Cara muttered. Thinking of Kyle as a dragon rider made Hana smile. It didn’t matter if dragons weren’t real. The more she made the story a fantasy, the better her happy ending would be. “Kyle fell madly in love with Angel after the kiss. It fits the book. But it’s your choice, Hana. If you don’t like it, I can think of something else.”

Let the Right One In

Let the Right One In

he's saying that thing as if it's the most obvious thing to do. I let my breath out, then breath in again. "I'm Dulcenea Mara Grange. Citizen of Krueger tribe- "Wait! Did you just say Kruger tribe?" he cut me out. I don't really know where that words came from. A voice lead me out and say those words. "Y-yes, Kruger tribe. Why, is there something wrong with that?" Confusion eat me up. What's with that Kruger tribe. He seems surprised. Shock at the same time.

The Pianist

The Pianist

From his godly face and all the way down to his expensive shoes, this male looked like the epitome of perfection. Tall, with a lean body that only enhanced the stylishness of that neatly pressed white shirt over his well-defined torso, light grey vest and matching dress pants, mixing so well though with that boyish vibe as a few of his combed jet black strands constantly fell over his forehead, making those dark brown piercing eyes of his appear even darker and his cleanly shaved face all the more young. "M-master Nicholas," The maid shockingly sputtered, the girl immediately choking on a piece of bread at the hearing of her words, violently coughing as she struggled to regain her breath.

The Runaway Groom

The Runaway Groom

So I chose to play the role of the unwanted girl from the countryside. Back then, without hesitation, I had secretly sold the downtown apartment. With the proceeds, I paid off the debts his father had left behind, giving him peace of mind to focus on his career. The rest of the money went toward covering his business losses and providing countless chances for trial and error. And finally, he made it. I had stood by him through it all—from a rented apartment to a home of our own. I had given up my youth willingly. But now I realize that self-delusion really is an illness.

The Runaway Bride

The Runaway Bride

Her veil ripped away, flapping behind her like a ghost trying to flee from her head. She didn't care. Her lungs burned. Her legs quivered. Her mind was racing faster than her body. She didn't stop running until she dodged into an alleyway between two old buildings-cracked bricks, graffiti, and a broken lamp flickering like a dying heartbeat. Her breaths came in painful pulls. What have I done? She sank against the wall, grasping at her head. She had left everything behind: her home, her job, her family, her whole identity.

To Love The Hunters Daughter

To Love The Hunters Daughter

Pain shoots through my knees. But I get up. And I run again. “RAFE!” I scream, voice breaking — but thunder swallows the sound whole. He doesn’t hear me. Neither does Dorian. They are so close now. Too close. The two storms are about to collide. And if I don’t reach them— Something unforgivable will happen. So I run harder. Heart pounding. Legs burning. Throat raw. Running straight toward the moment that will destroy everything. I sprinted toward the center of the battlefield, praying to every god, every moon, every force in existence—
