Skylar retreated, taking three steps back. "Is this some kind of a joke because it's not funny?" she said with uncertainty. There was no way this man was her mate, she would have known but her wolf barked in protest, howling loudly in her head. "I-I can't smell anything from you and you're a human!" She burst out but he rolled his eyes at her outburst. "I'm not human Kitty" he answered blankly. "Come closer if you want the true" the boredom in his tone made her frown.

Then, I dipped my finger into the water and allowed the droplets to fall on the kitten’s lips. “You poor thing.” I couldn’t help but stroke the kitten. I was horrified at its state. If Tyrelle said that it wasn’t the wolves that had done this, then that could only mean that humans did this, right? “I’m so sorry. I wish I could help more. But if you survive, I’ll take care of you.” Something cold trickled down my finger as I stroked the kitten. Then, I felt a spark that immediately made me draw my hand back. It wasn’t painful, but it startled me.

As the man regained his footing, Katrina pounced on him. She sank her teeth into his leg and tore, tearing through the flesh and muscle. Blood splattered everywhere, coating her muzzle and staining her fur. The man screeched in agony and struggled, trying to dislodge her paws from his calf. Katrina snapped her teeth even harder at his leg. Suddenly, the pressure released from his thigh and he fell to the ground, clutching at his injury. Katrina let him go and watched him collapse with satisfaction.

He towered over me and he has this midnight dark fur and bright yellow eyes and sharp teeth. "Don't worry, I won't give you some tacky ugly mediocre name," I told him, smiling at him and feeling like I've found so much more than just a pet, "I'll give you a cool name, like..." I thought really hard, "how do you like, midnight?" I asked him, waiting to see what he would do, "because you have dark fur, as dark as the night," I paused to see what he'd do. "If you like a name, wag your tail, if you don't like it, just sit still. If you sit still throughout I'll just decide on one," I told him, somehow feeling like he really could understand me.

She walks in, and we follow her through the house, she leads us into the garden, my eyes widening and squeals escaping my mouth. "Really, Master?" I look at him, excited. "Yes, kitty, I never forget a childhood wish, so you get to pick one". I nod and walk over to the puppies, opening the pen I walk in and sit down, the puppies climbing on me. "Are they really Tibetan mastiffs?" I look back at Marcus and the women.

Their eyes locked, holding a steady gaze for seconds. “Do not cry, Puppy,” the man used his thumb to wipe away the tears trickling down Elena’s cheeks. “Save your tears for later,” he chuckled. “Please, I beg you,” Elena continued her plea, but her appeals seemed to fall on deaf ears. “Calm down Puppy, I have a surprise for you” The man smirked and cupped Elena’s cheeks.
