"You are welcome." Kenzie studied his long braid as she chewed her gum. It was thick, and it looked like to her, the individual strands seemed thicker too. For the first time she noticed the deep purple ringlets between the braided, and the singular one that was about three inches from the end.

Mom was so busy with work, I won't say I wasn't happy she was, but her presence matters a lot, sometimes, we had days when we braided hair, it was like a tradition, and having a 4c natural hair means war and pain without proper management. And that's more than enough reason to keep my hair braided for a long time, and after so much detangling, washing, and tying tight buns, I couldn't take the pain of combing, so I confronted mom about it, weird enough when she was in the middle of a conversation with a client.

St James were getting cornrows, but I think Dee said he had wanted a mohawk braid, but was fighting with his Mom about it. Jazz, using her incredible braiding skills, braided the sides of my hair looking like swirls and then going down to just past my neck before my natural curls took over. She also braided the center in a thick French braid down the center that also ended at the same spot as the others. I was done about a third into Krista’s hair and Mrs. St James sat where I was after Jazz washed her hair.

Throwing on my pajamas, I stood at the side of the bed when there was a knock at the door. Opening it, I found Nathan on the other side. I rolled my eyes. “Tell him I am fine, and I will mind-link him in a few minutes.” Nathan shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I hated that Nathan kept being put in the middle of this mess. I finished putting lotion on and brushed out my hair. I braided it, liking how it looks when it is wavy. It was also much easier to manage in the morning when it is in a braid.

I picked a cloth denim shirt and paired it with a black skinny jean ,and of course a pair of white snickers. I looked at my reflection at the mirror.I looked awful..with my messy hair and dark circles. I took my comb and parted my hair in the center starting from the back.I then took three sections of hair from the right side of the parting at the back and braided it toward my forehead.I repeated the same on the other side of my hair.Once i got two braids, i brought them to the middle of my forehead in such a way that they form a crown at the front. I then secured it with bobby pins.And my crown braid was perfect!

After this, I may just give her the dress, as I would never be able to do the dress justice after seeing Rylee in it. Rylee did our hair and make-up. Rylee typically sported beautifully braided hair. However, for the event, Rylee decided to put her hair up in a low bun, using her braids to give it extra elegance. Rylee had curled my hair, choosing to keep the look simple, applying an intricate waterfall braid to make it more elegant. I was impressed with her ability to do our hair. It must be her surgical skills coming to play, as every braid was utter perfection.

She nodded and quickly got to work, placing my white hair into two simple braids, that slightly protruded out of the top of my head. "If you braid the strands under each other instead of over, then you get a sort of 3D effect." She chuckled securing the hair elastic to the second plait after completing it. "Are you ready to go and change the world?" She asked me, placing her hands on my shoulders and looking at me in the mirror that was facing me.

The waistband sits a touch looser than it probably should, but it reads as intentional, relaxed rather than ill-fitting. I dig out a pair of soft brown Grecian-style sandals, the leather straps crisscrossing up my calves, and tie them quickly. Then I turn to my hair, pulling the shorter side pieces into braids and pinning them back, leaving the rest loose in waves down my back. A simple, almost careless style, but it frames my face the way I like.
