Turned

Turned

He still doesn’t turn around. When she realizes he won’t be replying back she leaves, giving me one last side eye glare. He turns around finally and sees me waving my hand in front of my face trying to get her strong perfume away from me. He holds back a laugh, “I’m guessing the Alpha title comes with a lot of fans,” I say walking over to the table to grab my contract. “The title definitely comes with a lot. Not all of which is wanted,” he sighs and grabs one of the bags and a shoe box and hands them to me. “You can change over there,” he points to the corner that has those fabric moving walls like the hospitals do. “Excuse me? Change? Why am I changing?” I ask him clearly confused. He lifts

S.A.S.

S.A.S.

“We improvise it live.” Pauly handed her a slim, battered paperback—Mockingbird, cover worn, pages gutted to hold a wafer-thin transceiver and a micro-SD slot. “Your new copy. Same weight as the real one. Press the title twice if you’re burned; it wipes your last three hours and plays an audiobook. Press the author twice and it pings us with location.” She slid the book into her tote without looking. “And if I press the spine?” “It complains about being objectified,” Pauly said.

Awakening - Following Fate

Awakening - Following Fate

I stare down at my book and focus all my thoughts and energy on a little faith. Please show me how to help bring my pack home. How to bring my mate back to me. I utter the words inside my head and lay my palms flat on the open pages. Sighing as I do so and jump as the edge of the next page lifts and tries to move under my restrictive hold. I yank my hands back in shock that it actually made it do something and watch in awe and horror as the pages begin to flip over in this windless room. They move fast as though caught in the throes of a gust of vicious wind and seem to hasten as it progresses. I swallow down my saliva and choke on the sudden dryness of my mouth.

Anything For You

Anything For You

Having left with nothing to say over this statement , Carol just nodded her head in agreement . The empress just wanted to read the book from beginning . But as she was just about to do it , she remembered the words of the man who was frequently visiting her dreams these days that she had to only read the contents of page No. 715 and the summon the P2 Guide Werewolf. Thus suppressing her curiosity , she just flipped the pages which were all blank and were dusky white in color giving off the appearance like the book was more than 20 centuries old. She didn't know up to where she had to scroll because there were not even the numbers over the pages. But as she was scrolling, abruptly there was

THE LEGEND OF ALVAH

THE LEGEND OF ALVAH

She’s almost done, two more books before she could truly say she’s finished the task given to her. When the final page of the current book was done, she heaved a happy sigh as she turned to the next book. This one is thicker than the usual book she has read. It’s also bigger yet majestically intrinsic from the cover to the edges of each page. In the cover was a circular artifact that looked like a knob. Her curiosity once again got the best of her. She tried to turn it around, hoping that she could miraculously make it work. In an instant, she felt a quick prick against her palm that she jounced at the feeling of a single droplet getting out of her palm. The drop of blood soon found it’s way

Academy Of Cursed Hearts

Academy Of Cursed Hearts

It contained only one sentence: “When the final page is turned, the knowledge will leave the page and enter the reader. There is no turning back.” My hands shook. I stared at the last page blank except for a single sigil in the center, glowing faintly in the candlelight. It wasn’t ink. It was light. Living light. I took a breath and exhale. Then I turned the page. The moment my finger touched the corner, the book screamed with sensation. A surge of energy broke through me, white-hot and blinding. It poured into my eyes, my mouth, my bones. I felt my memories unravel and reweave, my thoughts multiply, my very breath split into a thousand threads.

The Dance of Fates: Bellatrix

The Dance of Fates: Bellatrix

"Nevermind that, Jus. Let's continue. I was told that only Telekinetic Krysts can read such blank book. Have you found any?" Jucel nodded at once. "I do." She opened the book and flipped through its blank pages. "At first you will see it blank." Then she flipped her two fingers on her left hand up to the air and swiped it across the pages. The wind began to pick up and the pages glowed. After a while, it died down and the pages were filled with runes and texts.

Hi, guys! Thank you for reading this book! Please know that I really appreciate your effort in reading The Dance of Fates: Bellatrix. You can leave a review if you're at it, and tell me how the story was. Constructive criticism is also much appreciated ?
✨Vierge de Fer✨
This gave me a great fantasy-themed anime vibes, those series which took place in an entirely different world with loads of adventure to occur. Those who are into adventures with multiple unique characters to choose from would defo enjoy reading this piece.

The Lycan Prince’s Puppy

The Lycan Prince’s Puppy

I told him. “Finally.” I couldn’t help a grin as I grabbed a book from the pile. “You know,” I said, flipping it open, “fate’s been on my side lately. Don’t be shocked if I find it right away.” Kylan smirked. “These are ancient books with a lot of information, Pup,” he said. “Don’t get ahead of yourself.” I pouted at him, then looked down at the book. The page blurred for a moment, but when I blinked and rubbed my eyes, my sight cleared, and something unusual caught my eye.

A year has already passed, and the book is still not finished. Although it is very well written (except for the chapters where the action drags), I have started to get bored. I keep waiting for “ the war that ends the world” but it never comes.

I used to wait for the chapters but now it is unnecessarily dragged on. Author builds up for climax so nicely but unfortunately it never comes which leaves reader frustrated and at some point gives up ( like me). Seems like lot of tease without any ending.

How To Survive Werewolves

How To Survive Werewolves

I press my hand to him, trying to get him to stay still. “I can help,” I murmur, fumbling with the heavy book in my lap. He pauses, eyes darting to the old book. His gaze hardens in suspicion but then softens. He recognizes what it is. I flip frantically through the brittle pages. 39… 91… 180… Focus. My fingers finally find the right page and relief washes over me when I spot the illustrations. I place the book next to me and take the bag, searching for the right leaves stuffy stuff. I do not know what. At least the book has pictures in color.

The Shadow Beside The Moon

The Shadow Beside The Moon

There was a small, hidden slot along the edge of the cover, almost invisible until you knew it was there. She took a deep breath, looked at Kael one more time, and slid the key into place. There was no loud noise, no flash of light. Just a soft, gentle click, and then the whole book seemed to breathe. The leather cover warmed, and when Elara lifted it open, the pages didn’t just show words they began to glow from within, bright but easy to look at, like sunlight through thin paper.
