Lumi had curled up with her stick still in hand, ready to fight the dark if it misbehaved. Light, she’d said her name meant. Fitting. Because somewhere ahead, in the heart of the Sun, darkness waited to forget me. And this tiny, impossible spark of light refused to let me go dim.

Light concerns. I nodded my head in understatement but I was shivering in pain. The pain in my heart is excrutiating out but I was keeping it back. Not showing anyone how weak i am from the inside. “Are you okay? You haven't replied.” Light asks worriedly. “I am sorry, I was distracted. What were you saying?” I apologize. “I think we should try this once you clarify your doubts. I hope it will work with you?” Light suggests.

I was very serious about this place at age thirteen. I had saved up my allowance for months and finally had enough to buy those lawn light things. You know, those things that go in the ground, they're solar powered, and they light up. You usually put them in the ground to a walk way,...oh never mind. Anyways I had a lot of those that lit up on both sides that led from the field to the lake, it looked really pretty actually, especially at night.

Lily stared at the light and felt that same pulse inside her chest. Not from her heart, but from some place deeper within. The same light illuminated from her chest and expanded out from her until a green orb danced in the air in front of her eyes.

We only communicate through text or call. I checked my phone but my inbox is silent as always. Light's name however is at the top and his last message is somewhat dominating my inbox. He wore a plain, brown vest adorned with a dark pattern of countless minuscule diamonds over his shirt, which was black in color, and switched to a pair of light brown pants, held up by a bright brown belt with a simple metal buckle, with each leg being seemingly adorned by a line of studs. He shared the ages of the Martin cousins.

Still, Lex did not say a word. His hands were sweaty, so he tightened his grip on the phone.
