I had to even stop at the side of the woods, stay and stare at the place where I got banished from. The woods where Damon rejected me. Where Cassandra smiled, my world was falling apart. My hands shook as I adjusted the slings. Leo stirred slightly and made a tiny growl and I was glad, muttering those words into his ears. “Don’t worry. You will become an Alpha like your father.” His sound was tiny, but it had real Alpha power. Laman did the same a second later. Their voices were tightening my chest with love and fear. I took a deep breath and stepped out of the woods.

I shook my head, nervously and shaken. James and I are the lead wolves here. He is called alpha 1; and I, alpha 2; Caleb, is Beta 1; and Miranda, my close friend is Beta 2. Jazzy is our only gamma and our chem wiz. We have a group of about twenty of us. There were two other groups, but unfortunately, they have come up to be outnumbered drastically over the years. Most of the members of the other groups have long died. Making them merge with the other groups.

I giggle, unable to stop myself. She is so cute! "Atlas Myles Rozell? Is he a werewolf, too?" My dad's eyes widen as he asks me. I laugh at his reaction, nodding my head and saying, "Yes! Atlas Myles Rozell is a young businessman, holding the position of a shareholder in your company. I was also surprised to meet him. I mentioned you to him and he agreed on your company's profit share. You give him a very handful amount, dad!" I grin at him.

Jade and I slowed as we rounded the next corner. We peered around the corner of the shipping container and spotted Balor holding a fat man in the air. A fat leprechaun of a man I wanted to watch bleed. "She's dead. As dead as the mutt, you claimed to be your grandfather. Her scream was so euphoric. The blood that painted her skin was wonderful." I ground my teeth as Leon continued to lie about me. The sound of his nasally voice brought a smirk to my lips. The sick bastard deserved that broken nose.

I tried to keep my voice down to avoid attracting the attention of her co-workers. She shrugged. “I told you. He's just a friend. Stop being so dramatic” Dramatic? I let out a dry, angry chuckle and turned on my heels without looking back. I stormed into Alex's office, chest heaving. “Cedric? Is everything okay?” “Does the name ‘Leo’ sound familiar to you?” “Why do you ask?” “Just answer the question,” I snapped. Alex leaned back in his desk, thoughtfully. “Wasn't he one of the assassins under Antonio?”

Ricky says, making me growl. "Yeah, well, for her sake, she better not lay a fucking finger on Abbie, or I'll make sure to rip them apart," I say, fisting my hands and clenching my jaw. "Boy... you seem to be a magnet for toxic females, Hunt," he says, chuckling, making me grab a pen and toss it at him. He chuckles louder, nodding his head. I get it. My first mate Leah was a fucking psycho. It's a good thing I rejected her on the spot. Now, Tara seems adamant to be around me. She's a nutcase. I won't let her get anywhere near Abbie or me.

"Wao, Alex, this is... Wao!" Abbie looked at everything in surprise, she could not decide which room to direct her attention completely. “Do you need something?” I turned to see a man in a black chef's suit, I assumed it was a professor. "I have a meeting with Louis Anderson,” I said on guard. As soon as he smiled, I knew this had been a bad idea. "That's me,” he said with an English accent. Shit. His eyes sparkled with interest at the sight of Abigail by my side.

“Thank you for the compliment. I’m Leah. And you must be from the Blackwell clan?” The man stood and reached out a hand to her, which she reluctantly shook. “Yes. I’m Theodore Blackwell. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Leah sat down on the sofa next to her father facing Theo and assessed him. He seemed nice enough, but would he be strong enough in the future to stand by her side when she eventually took over the Sullivan clan. Leah doubted it. The man may be kind of charming, but charm didn’t win fights. If her clan were ever to be attacked in the future, Leah didn’t think she would be able to depend on him to have her back.
