Home in a world filled with war.

Home in a world filled with war.

The walls were adorned with murals of hope, and the chatter of patrons filled the air. Bruce takes a seat outside on some old metal chairs while I go grab some sandwiches from the counter inside and pay. I bring the food out along with a coffee and take a seat beside him. As we settled I noticed a radio playing inside and just about make out talks of politics, the war and other snippets of information, someone turns the volume up, a voice breaking through the din announcing that the war is finally over. My heart raced and I looked at Bruce, his eyes lit up with disbelief and joy.

I Left, And They Declared War

I Left, And They Declared War

Juliet Somehow, I was back at the cafe, facing Grace's piercing gaze. After I struggled to hold back from crying, which I had been doing a lot these days, Grace managed to convince me to go back to the cafe with her. “So… how about Naomi and Leah?” I asked, not just because I was trying to shift the conversation from me, but because I was curious about the women I used to call my friends. “Leah left the country to manage her mother's farm a year after graduation”, Grace answered.

Luna Battle: The Game

Luna Battle: The Game

"I can aim, Draven taught me. I'm unsure if people will see it as a good thing that a Luna knows how to shoot an arrow. I'm guessing everyone else can dance, sing or play an instrument." "Elara, the competition is different; hence, it's a variety, like cooking. A Luna shouldn't fit in a box of the woman who wears a pretty dress, has dinner meetings and nothing else. If she can fight like a man, good for her. If she can cook rather than using maids, good."

apprehensive at the start, the first two chapters were slow, but I get it, it's the back story. I'm happy I stuck with it. if you're reading this, push through the first few chapters, it's worth it and over not even read the entire book yet
Megan
This story really turned into something great as we get to know the main characters in the first story. The second half was so good. So love the continuation of the story with the next generation and new mates in part two. Part three just got started and I’m loving it. Definitely a good read!

The War Bride

The War Bride

He looked every bit the war hero the country adored— stoic, composed, untouchable. But i remembered the boy who'd pull my pigtails and grin crookedly whenever he caught a fish. The boy was long gone. The string quartet played a hollow waltz. Servants in black jackets moved with grace between tight circles of conversation. In one corner, someone laughed too loudly. In another two aides argued quietly in a diplomatic tone. "I see only your mother attended," Darrell said . I nodded. "She had to see her only daughter off and she doesn't believe in making scenes,"

THE LAST STRAW OF LOVE.

THE LAST STRAW OF LOVE.

Within 24 hours, Cain Vineyards secured partnerships with three of Napa’s most prestigious wineries. The West Coast? Now belonged to Cain. The Next Battle Begins As the sun set over Cain Estate, Leo poured himself a glass of his family’s finest wine. His father, Leo Cain Sr., joined him. “You played that well,” Leo Sr. murmured. Leo Jr. smirked. “She’s not done.” Leo Sr. chuckled. “Good. A war is only interesting when the opponent knows how to fight.” They clinked glasses. Because this was far from over.

The Rejected Healer's Retribution

The Rejected Healer's Retribution

The signing of the Lumina Accord brought a deceptive stillness to the valley. On paper, the war was over. In reality, the conflict had simply shifted from the battlefield to the nervous system. While Elara worked to turn Aethel-Luna from a rebel outpost into a functioning capital, a new kind of shadow began to stretch across the streets. This shadow didn't smell of ozone or silver, but of sweet, rotting jasmine.

Alpha, I Won’t Let You Banish Me Again

Alpha, I Won’t Let You Banish Me Again

Leo The vampires came at dawn on the third day, the way they had said they would, and the first thing I learned about war is that it does not feel the way the history says it feels. It does not feel empowering. It does not feel like destiny. It feels like cold air on a sweat-damp neck, and the small irritating fact of a buckle that has not seated properly on the left shoulder of your harness, and the embarrassing realization, halfway down the slope, that you have to pee and there is going to be no good time for the next four hours.
