It was clearly a rare find, something that would cost a fortune to replace. “I’m so sorry,” she repeated, scrambling to gather the broken parts and place them back on the shelf. “I didn’t know you were there, and I just…” Levi’s smile didn’t waver as he folded his arms behind his back, his posture relaxed yet commanding. His green eyes, usually cold and calculating, were warmer now, almost playful. They gleamed against the contrast of his silver hair, which was tousled just enough to be effortlessly stylish. His chiseled jawline and broad shoulders completed the picture, making him look every bit the modern-day Adonis.

“Since I read the back of the box.” I snort, rubbing my eyes. “You mean to tell me all your skills, all your talents, and you need instructions for pancakes?” He shrugs, flipping the next one. “Can’t be good at everything. Have to leave some skills for the regular folks? Can't have it all.” I roll out of bed, the wooden floor cool against my bare feet as I pad toward him. “Smells good.” Levi hands me the mug he was holding. “Figured you’d want coffee first.”

She looked up when Mira walked in and smiled. "Make yourself comfortable baby," she said sickly sweetly. "He'll be down in a minute." Mira stood in the middle of the room, her arms crossed. He better be down in a minute. As if reading her mind Levi appeared at the top of the staircase curved down from the upper floor, holding a bottle of wine in one hand. His white hair looked like it just went through a drunk era. His usually slicked hair was now pointing at all four corners of the world. Mira knew just what he was doing to make him look so out of place.

Kiara gave both of them weird looks then sighed before standing up. “I'll go bring the juice.'' When she left, Heather turned to Levi with a smile. “Don't worry, I'm team Levi… for now. If you say something like that again, I'll find another gentleman that won't complain about carrying Kiara's bags. Got it?" Levi grinned then nodded. “Got it" Just then, Kiara walked in with a tray containing cups and the bottle of juice. “We only have apple juice so I hope that's okay?" Levi nodded.

“You’re back? Come here quickly.” Bella looked up, eyes locking onto the source of the voice, and she was so shocked that her mouth fell open. Levi was wearing a pastel-pink apron with a bunny print on it. The apron was just a simple piece of fabric, yet on him, it became something strangely contradictory. Levi’s tall frame and broad shoulders stretched the straps taut, clinging to the solid lines of his back and shoulders. His muscular chest bulged beneath the thin fabric, making the apron which should have looked fragile, highlight his powerful build even more.

I noticed an open rib and placed a blow with my left hand and strike the sword seeing him become vulnerable, but he easily defended it. "You have improved I see." Levi pulled his hand gloves off, left with only his hands, he held on to his sword firmly. "Let's see what you are capable of yet again." The moment I attempted a launch at him, he held on to the defense mode and gave a quick jab to my rib cage as well, leaving me gasping for breath.

"Not one ounce of guilt, eh?" I caved. "Okay fine. I maybe might have doubled the time at the gym to work off the ice cream because of guilt, but it's worth it." Levi slid one of the cups towards me. "I got you coffee. I didn't know what type of coffee you like so I got a vanilla bean." I shook my head and wrinkled my nose at the smell. "No thanks. I hate coffee, Levi." I giggled. "But, it was a really nice thought."

As I put the weights down and inhaled deeply, a surprised voice said, "Are you weight lifting?" I got up from the bench by sliding under the bar. Levi was standing in the entrance to his home gym and was staring at me in disbelief. I snatched up my water bottle from the floor, gulped it down, and then threw it back. "Yeah, you want to spot?" I asked. Levi looked at me bewildered and murmured, "Sure. Let me just change out of my suit." He left through the front entrance and returned upstairs to the main residence. I wiped the perspiration from my brow with my towel.

Right about time. Levi was fully dressed in a three-piece black layer suit, a different brand of shoe which I am sure is very expensive. He stared at me, his eyes scanning my clothes. His gaze lingered longer on my exposed skin, then he hurriedly moved his gaze, as if he regretted That he stared. I grinned. “And good morning to you too sir.” He didn't return the smile, he just walked straight to the counter, placing his phone on it as he sipped his coffee.

Levi quickly ran to the bathroom so as not to be seen in that condition. "Levi?" called Rejane, entering when she heard the sound of the shower running. "Hi, Ane! I'm taking a shower!" he announced, but in fact, he was close to the door, holding it so it wouldn't open. "I brought your coffee. Are you okay?" asked Rejane. "Yes, I'm fine. You can leave it there. I'll be out of the shower soon," Levi replied. "Okay. Leon is heading to the company."
