Levi stared at him for a while then he scoffed. “Let's get one thing straight, you don't control me neither are you above me. You need my help and I need yours, therefore we are partners. I do whatever I want and you'd whatever you want but that doesn't imply on Kiara. I'll take care of her because she's my price after this war" Liam stared at him for a while then smirked. “You do know that I can kill you without even blinking right? The door opens a while after, revealing an eleven-year-old boy in a black top and a matching pair of khaki trousers- Derek. “You look sad?” I ask, taking his backpack off his shoulders. “Didn’t you have fun with Scott?” “You’re late. Again,” he mutters, maintaining the annoyed look on his cute little face. “They had fun,” Sofia informs, joining us outside. “Thank you,” I smile. “And by the way, you look terrible.” I look at the blue short-sleeved gown I have on and can't help but agree with her. It has some stains here and there making it look even worse than it originally was.

That night, Lily and Zeke lay in bed with their backs turned to each other. Silence stretched taut between them. Her belly had grown so large that it left her breathless more often than not. She shifted uncomfortably, turning to her other side, on the verge of asking Zeke to hand her the oxygen canister. When it got this bad, breathing through it was the only relief. But as she rolled over, she caught sight of him leaning against the headboard. The glow of his phone was lighting his face, and his fingers were busy tapping out messages to Sophie on WhatsApp.

Levius explained after getting on his knees. Zev was fuming in anger when Layla fell unconscious after where wounds were washed by water that Levius brought. It was frustrating for him that he couldn’t tell what exactly happened. He was there all along, yet he didn’t notice anything suspicious. Zeke detached himself and walked over, scooping up our son in a hug that was fierce and tender all at once. "This is the best part of all this, you know," Zeke said, meeting my eyes over Leo's dark, curly head, "making sure that nothing else takes top priority and that at the top of the food chain, it’s just us." I pushed myself off the floor, walking across the hardwood to join them, the floor feeling solid and steady beneath my feet. I kissed Zeke, a long, deep kiss that narrated just how much I was in love with him. Then I reached out and touched Leo’s cheek as he giggled, my fingers tracing the outline of his sweet, determined face.

I shrug, trying to play nonchalant and failing. “He’s not in his room, but rarely is at night. “ He mutters. “Azalea?” “What Zeke?” I cock a brow in my little brother’s direction. “Tell me honestly..Do you like Drake and I don’t mean can you tolerate his presence…I mean I have seen how you look at each other and I have seen you kiss.
