Scene: Ember – Hidden Paths Ember stood on the stone terrace outside the Nightshade mansion, wrapped in a long coat as the evening wind picked up. Saul approached quietly from the forest path, hood drawn low, boots muddy from the lake route. “No tail,” Saul said, offering a small waterproof case. Ember opened it, hands steady despite the quickening of her pulse. Inside was the drive, tucked beneath a folded scrap of hand-scrawled paper. I didn’t stay silent. —C. She didn’t smile. Not yet. Instead, she turned and walked swiftly to the war room tucked beneath the house. The room lit up as the drive connected, humming gently against the console.

Not that Death needed a good grasp on emotions to do his job. “So I have to memorize them?” I asked. He grinned wickedly. “I hope you enjoy archaic prose.” I sighed. “There goes my weekend...” “Actually,” Samael mused, “if you place them under your pillow, the knowledge will seep into your mind during sleep.” “Hmm,” I said, impressed. I put them in my bag. “Well, I better go-”

It made me feel uncomfortable, but I didn’t utter a word. “What are you doing?” Ryder asked. “Trying to figure things out.” A knock on the door sounded before he could ask any more questions. “Alpha,” Dale greeted softly. “What do you want me to do?” “Close the door.” I let Ryder explain things to him. Dale settled on the other side of the room with his laptop open and the USB stick plugged in. Ryder winced when Cora screamed as they re-watched the video to get to the part I wanted him to check out.

“No need to hold back, Salem! Give it your all!” Salem nodded, and lightning crackled across his body; he let out a furious scream, as if he were thunder itself. Kroom! The entire ring shook as Salem took a step forward. The people on high towers started shaking as well. This was enough to tell just how terrifying Salem’s strength was. Under the ring, Harlan and the others went pale after their initial shock; they could only see darkness in front of them, and thought that Harvey was about to be slaughtered. “Master Henrik’s Electric Fist, Salem’s strength, and America’s genetic enhancements…” Conrad said, chuckling coldly. “How dare a man from Country H go against us Americans?! Hmph!”

Sixteen years ago. Abaddon had just sent one of his demons, Momodaeus, to fetch his daughter for him. Baselroth, having received her father's summon, decided to head straight to Oxlock. It was in her best interest not to keep her father waiting, for he was an impatient man. Momodaeus accompanied her to a secluded area. With nobody watching, they took the only route that led to Oxlock by magically sinking into the ground. The floor which they descended through didn't have any holes, yet they just passed through it as if it was a normal thing.

Drake scratched the back of his neck as he smiled. "Um, am sorry if you think am digging out too much from you." Drake said shyly and Alicia giggled, "excuse me" she walks out making the man smile as he stared at her retreating silhouette out of the managers quaters. Alicia moved further and headed into the elevator finally getting to the tenth storey, she held the laptop closely as she walked into Samson's office. "Ballad, the technician has created a default right now on the night blade. The enchantment drawn out and the one enchantment installed is different." Samson said looking into his system and Alicia just walked to the couch and sat.
