“Very professionally.” Ethan snorted. “She glued her fingers together.” Lana groaned. “Ethan!” I laughed before I could stop myself. “Guess even astronauts need help sometimes.” Ethan nodded, accepting this as fact. “Yeah. Rockets are tricky.” I pointed at the cardboard nose. “So what’s this rocket going to do?” His face lit up instantly, like I had turned a switch. “It’s going to fly to space!” “Space, huh?” I leaned in conspiratorially. “That’s a long way.”

They all greeted me as they rose to their feet in respect. “Good morning, everyone. We may start, now.” I urged as I checked the time. I was right on time, so there wasn’t any delay for anyone. “So, what product did you make?” I questioned the team lead as I leaned my chin on my knuckles. “We invented a rocket. It’s a small rocket which is meant to serve as a drone as well. The reason we made it more like a rocket, is so that it can go further than the usual drone, and then people would get to see more beautiful parts of the sky. They would enjoy the beauty of the clouds, and it would feel as though they were there.”

"Mila! Look! I brought the red astronaut toy from my bedroom! My daddy gave it to me." Mila jumped up and down. "Yay! Look what I have. I found some smooth rocks by the trees. We can use them for the fire at the bottom of our rocket ship so it can go super-fast." "Put them in a line right here," Leo said, pointing to the middle of the bench. He sat down and placed his red astronaut right next to the rocks. "The astronaut is the captain. He says we need to fly past the clouds."

I asked as I rubbed my forehead where it hurt from the bump. "Neither," Elizabeth sputtered, "I made a flying vehicle." I was surprised. My eyes widened as I looked at the " vehicle " that flew to the yard and circled around and back at such a fast speed that my jaw almost dropped to the ground. There was a huge propeller spinning above the vehicle, which allowed it to fly to the roof of the house.

Leo asked, his eyes wide and hopeful. Adrian leaned back, a small, genuine smile tugging at his lips. "The space game involves physics, right? If you can explain to me how the rocket stays in orbit while you eat those berries, we might have a deal." Leo scrambled to grab a blueberry, holding it up like a tiny planet. "It’s gravity! But, like, the fast kind. If you go fast enough, you don't fall down." Adrian let out a soft laugh, reaching over to squeeze Leo’s shoulder. "Close enough for a seven-year-old. Eat up, and we'll see."

Elena heard a noise, and her heart shook for a second. She looked up and saw something moving in the sky. It was a missile, she thought. But then soon realized that it was a rocket. It was just passing by in the distance. “Whew…” she exhaled deeply. “Wait, how did I even hear that noise of the rocket? It shouldn’t have been possible? Or, I must have thought I heard it.” Elena did not know that the rocket’s sounds could be heard from miles away. Elena drove past a restaurant without stopping.

“Look what I made!” I bent down, meeting his eager gaze. He held out a small piece of paper with a scribbled drawing on it. It was a crude, yet endearing, picture of a rocket ship, complete with stars and planets around it. “Is that a rocket ship, Ren?” I asked, pretending to be surprised. He nodded eagerly. “Yes! It’s going to the moon. Just like Mina!” Mina glanced over at him, her expression softened with affection. “That’s a nice rocket ship, Ren.”
