I made a small approving sound as I lifted my fork. “It looks so good, doesn’t it?” “Yes, delicious,” Nolan responded. I cut a piece of meat along with a mushroom. It was a small piece of mushroom about the size of the tip of my thumb. It was small enough not to be noticed. I leaned across the table with the fork. “Try this. The kitchen really has outdone itself.” Nolan opened his mouth. I fed him the mushroom.

Alpha asks Luna. "Shh… You need to lower down your voice. He could hear us then it will not be a surprise anymore. And yes, we already bought the ingredients yesterday. I just added other items to the shopping cart so that he will not get suspicious. I also have other ingredients here inside my bag. I know that the mushrooms in our pack are much tastier than here." Luna whispered to her husband while showing him the mushrooms. "Mushrooms? So, what should we cook now?" Alpha asks her again.

Opening the book, he was surprised to see the words swim across the page, the text fixing itself in place before his eyes. Expecting some profound piece of magic, he realized he was looking at a fairly simple recipe for peanut butter cookies. Flipping back and forth, he saw that the recipe was the same on every page.

(Migumi’s POV) I kneel in the soft earth, a piece of cloth spread on the ground. I’m currently picking wild mushrooms from the base of an old oak tree. Their caps are smooth and damp, a deep brown that tells me they’re safe to eat. The fox that slept with me last night was already gone when I woke up this morning. It honestly made me sad. The fox was a great silent companion. It gave me comfort for a short while. But I guess nothing stays forever. I try to push the feeling aside, focusing instead on gathering enough mushrooms to cook.

That night, the other girls and I were sharing the kitchen to prepare our food items for the garden party event. Linda still wasn’t speaking to me, so we hadn’t been able to pair our selections as well as the other girls. However, I could guess that she had chosen some kind of egg appetizer, since she had been so fond of those during our earlier meeting. Since she was picking something with protein, I decided to pick a more veggie-type food. I scoured the cook books, skipping the ones that sounded too complicated, and settled on stuffed mushrooms. I set to making the mushrooms, then I waited my turn for the ovens.

I agreed. “One day, when the grief is gone, and my mourning has been put to bed, I’m gonna love the fuck outta you. I hope you’re ready.” My mouth dropped open as she sauntered out of the bedroom. “Hurry up, Jon. I found this documentary on N*****x about fungi. " I felt a little relieved to know that the cries of these monsters were not real. Although the occasional roar and howl of the monster in the distance can still make people feel a little chilling. But soon, the view completely captured my attention. Because the stars are not only sprinkled at our feet, even our heads are full of blue stars, and even the water here is shining. A clear stream with schools of glowing small fish swimming in the stream and swaying fluorescent water plants at the bottom. . Giant mushrooms grew by the edge of the stream, and the mycelium hanging from the edge of the umbrella was like a glowing bead curtain.

Everything led back to her and our kiss and I wanted to do it over and over again, and more. I fell on the bed, kicking my shoes off and picking up my favorite book. As soon as the pulley was turned, green tendrils opened wide like curtains, a light made of glowing mushrooms of various colors filled the whole place. Each tree has a door with a sign on top of the door, such as the Kitchen, Warehouse, Tool Case, and so on. Lillian approached one of the glowing yellow mushrooms and touched it gently with sparkling eyes. Phillip himself was so amazed at this sight, he looked around enthusiastically. Even Wiggy's annoying bugs look beautiful together with the neon glow of the mushrooms.
