We caught two more among the guards and these ones were from other rival gangs, I felt livid just thinking of how long they had been staying in plain sight. I have gotten sloppy indeed. **** The next morning I dressed up and headed for work, my wife had already prepared breakfast and was feeding the kids when I got to the dining area. "Good morning princess" I kissed Joey's forehead and she giggled happily, I have always loved how she's a very cheerful baby she must have gotten it from her mother always optimistic and lively. Lois however was acting strange and unusual, he wasn't as playful as he was and it was starting to bother me.

“Don’t be ridiculous, Coen. You fell asleep before we even finished the game!” Lois smiled tenderly, her heart swelling at Coen’s innocence. She cupped his face. “Oh, my baby boy, I did kiss you. You were fast asleep, but I kissed you all. Don’t be sad… I’ll kiss you again, as many times as you want.” She leaned down, pressing a dramatic kiss to his forehead. Coen’s sulk instantly melted into a wide grin. “What a baby,” Cera teased, making the others laugh. Breakfast carried on in warmth and chatter until Lois finally stood. “Cera, Ciri, Conan—it’s time to go. Hurry, or you’ll be late.”

Darick blurted out as he shook hands with Gael. “I’m glad you’re all okay. I was worried. We all are.” Lois squeezed Iris in a hug. The moment she pulled herself away, tears were running down her face. She then came to me, her brown eyes inspected my face. “You’re hurt.” “I’m fine.” I gave her a subtle nod. I couldn’t even think of what to ask first, and this definitely didn’t look like a search or either a welcome home party. Lois wiped off her tears, took a deep breath, and let it out slowly.

Lois said and turned on the TV to watch her favorite show. The show is about a family who goes from state to state and from country to country lodging in the most expensive hotels in each of those countries, tasting the most ravishing meals, visiting art galleries and having good times in all these places. Granny Lois loved those kinds of things and was somewhat unhappy as she was already too old for these types of journeys, so watching these shows gave her that sense of longing. On the day of the divorce hearing, Winona desperately pleaded with me. “Jared, you can’t be with Yvonne. She’s the eldest daughter of the Gage family. You two aren’t compatible. What’s more, she’s far too materialistic. All she cares about is money. You two will never be happy.” I chuckled and shook off her hand. “The alignment of interests is far more reliable than feelings. If she hadn’t approached me with clear interests laid out, I’d actually feel insecure. Besides, we’ve been friends for years. Her character is far better than yours. Also… She’s clean, unlike you.”

She clutched unto my shirt firmly. "Babe, you're welcome. Come on, let's eat." "Okayyy" She whined, as she came off my laps. "Good evening Uncle" "Oh, so now you notice me? Not like I didn't like the show though" He grinned and Lois blushed furiously. "Come on, of course I noticed you. How are you doing, Uncle?" "Good, as you can see. I'm very good" "Good, single and childless" Lois spat. I couldn't help it, I had to laugh. The look on Uncle Luca's face was priceless.

Even if it isn't exactly a perfect family she felt at home more than the Harrisons or Sullivans. "What are you thinking about, my love?" Lois whispered to her ear. His eyes gleamed with tenderness and love. "Nothing. I'm just happy to be with you. A family that I could truly cherish." She gently grabbed his hand and placed it on her stomach. Together, they felt the tiny bump hidden underneath her clothes.

Lois felt awkward having someone bring her lunch to her, but she didn't argue with them. "Ok, I will be waiting." Lois said as she left the kitchen, "All of them work for the family, they have so many people working for them. That reminds Leo's brother looks nothing like him. He looks nice and very social." Lois thought to herself as she walked to her room. She got to the room and decided to use the bathroom. She freshened herself up and tried one of the clothes Diana gave her, they were just her size. Lois couldn't help but shed a tear thanking God for bringing Leo to her.

The girl's needle hatred gaze doesn't leave my body, and I finished the bowl of food, belching loudly. “Look at this hungry pig,” Lois entered the room, laughing. She wore a short pink gown today, her hair in a pony tail. She looked horrible, makeup smeared over her face to hide that she was a despicable bitch. “See how hungry she sounded baby.” Eli was standing behind her. He pushed her to the side and knelt in front of me. “Lyla,” he said. “Bitch,” I replied. Lois gasped. “Oh you insolent fucking fool,” she scowled. “I will skin your skin alive if you talk to him that way, ever again”
