“Ouch.. why does it hurt and where am I?“ we both gasped as Elora literally woke up that very second right on cue. Maya loosened her hold on me and rushed to Eloras side. “Nothing of that matters right now. The main thing is, are you ok?” Maya exclaimed, stroking Eloras cheek with such concern in her big wide eyes. Elora smiled and gave a slight nod whilst trying not to wince at the same time. It was not a very convincing act. Even I could see that she was in a lot of pain. “Elora, do you know who I am?” I stepped forwards and she stared at me, confused. “You are the next in line alpha of the pack. George.” She answered.

She bites her lower lip— white teeth sinking into red flesh— then turns, smiling at the bartender. "Whisky please. Rocks." Her gaze returns to me, and she raises her eyebrows. "Make that two," I say, not leaving her gaze. A minute later he places the drinks in front of us, her hand immediately reaching out to bring it to her lips. "Katherine," she says after taking a slow sip, "but my friends call me Kat." "Adam, but everyone calls me Emilio." "I think I'll stick with Adam," she replies haughtily, daring me to tell her otherwise. I lean in closer to her, trailing her body with my eyes again. I can't stop looking at her legs. She notices, and again raises an eyebrow.

Some wolves rushed to help her, but she declined and sauntered straight to the empty seat that belongs to the Alpha and sat next to the one that was meant for her, the luna. "Get the luna a cup of water! She must be wearied and thirsty" Cohen yelled as Kira rushed around to do the bidding. None of them have recovered from the shock. "No! I'm fine" Even if Cora was very much thirsty, she rejected the offer as Creed's last words came to her. TRUST NO ONE "Are you sure, Cora?" Max asked. "I'm fine" she repeated as Kira who was halfway with the water, withdrew with it.

“We heard low grunts from an angle and we all turned to face the same point in the darkness around us. The grunts continued for a moment and then a body appeared in sight, under the luminous glow of the moon. From the sight of the figure, all of us grew more fierce with our defense as we were staring at something tall and huge. Only Cayden didn’t react. “His blood.” Cayden muttered. “It smells familiar.” He said and just then we got a proper look at the figure and realized who it was. Korr. The Supreme Lycan Commander’s personal guard— the same fierce and imposing Korr. — the same Korr Cayden had almost killed by taking his head off his neck.

I had refused to eat while I was there for good reasons. “Thank you, umm I was curious as to when I would be able to leave? I need to get home and back to work.” I said. “Dr. Lewiston is on his way to see how you are. You are still a little pale, and your skin looks dull.” she said. “Umm I am not trying to be rude, but who are you?” I asked. “Oh, I am sorry, how rude of me. My name is Cora. I am the previous Luna of the pack. My son Ruari is the current alpha.” Cora told me.
