We also need to talk about Luna and her birthday." Anaya nods smiling. "Well, she is twenty-one, so something good. Especially as she wasn't even in the country for her 18th." Marcus nods, he knows. It was the uniform of the lowest kitchen scrub. The laughter this time was open, ravenous. Luna’s fingers trembled as she took the rough fabric. The dread was a solid thing now, a stone in her throat. This was her eighteenth birthday. The day her mate bond was supposed to awaken, if the Moon Goddess was kind. The Goddess, it seemed, had a vicious sense of humor.

I asked pointing at the whole set. "Umm...on me. Cause I'm the Luna." Elena replied flatly. Well, myself, Elena, and Dolores have become more like three friends. Wouldn't call it Best friends not just yet. My former "best friend" did something I could have never imagined her to do so I think I'll just postpone that part. But we've been free amongst each other. Turned out Elena was also 23. Same age as myself making Dolores the eldest but by looks, she didn't look older than us at all.
