Henry rolled his eyes. “Did you give his family the cash?” I asked, already keying into the next camera feed as the De Lucas slipped out of view.

I walked towards him to grab the tab from his hands, gently pushing Lisa out of the way, but the little action made the tab fall off Henry's hands and shattered on the floor. "What the f...." "Oops! You should be more careful, Henry." Lisa spoke, and I picked it up. The screen was completely shattered already. I looked at Henry, "What was it? What got you so shocked?" "Huh?" Henry looked like he was in a trance, "what did you see, Henry? What happened?" He blinked rapidly, and then shook his head, causing a frown to make it's way on my face. "Um...I thought I saw something... I must be mistaken," he took the tablet from my hands, "I need to be somewhere. Will be back as soon as possible."

I could smell everything now. Henry took a subtle step backward. “You... shifted?” I said nothing. His voice lowered carefully. “You lost control.” I looked back at the ruined mansion before giving him the only truth that mattered. “Ariel is missing.” His expression hardened instantly. “What?” “She ran after she saw me shift.” Henry dragged both hands over his face and exhaled sharply. “Okay. Fine. We find her first. Then we deal with the apocalypse later.” “I’ll handle it.” “I’m coming with you.”

With that, Celeste unblocked Henry's number on her phone. Celeste arranged a meeting with Henry at a café. "Cel, I just knew that you would forgive me sooner or later."
