Xavier still fought the Serpent, both of them bloodied and exhausted. "Now!" Kael shouted. White light exploded from the circle, enveloping Luna. She screamed, her body convulsing as the magic tore through her genetic structure. And then, suddenly, she collapsed. Her eyes faded to normal brown. Humans. Wolf. Nothing else. Theo caught her, cradling her against his chest. "Luna? Luna, please." Her eyes fluttered open. "Theo?" He sobbed, holding her tighter. But before relief could settle, slow clapping echoed through the facility.

Dave howled with pain, he could feel some of his bones breaking, he knew it’d heal but it'd take lots of time and the pain was unbearable, he found it difficult to stand. Justin shifted to his human form. “Take him away” he ordered the guards as he walked away while Dave howled in pain silently.

You might have a new pack, but deep down, you'll always be that pathetic girl we all knew.” I felt Xander tense beside me, ready to defend my honor, but I placed a hand on his arm. This was my battle to fight. Taking a deep breath, I stepped closer to Kara, my voice low but clear. “You're right Kara. I've changed a lot. ’ She thought. “Sheila, relax okay. This is really happening. You are not hallucinating.” he said, slightly giving her a pinch. “Ouch! That hurts,” she cheerfully smiled. “Yeah, just so you know that this is real. I promised to protect you and give you a good life and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Be happy, my Luna!” he whispered to her ears. She didn’t know what it meant to be a Luna. So she just waved that away.

Her eyebrows furrowed at what I called her. “Your what?” she asked with a frown. I suddenly remembered she was human and had no idea how my world operated. I would have to teach her the basics for her to even be able to survive here. I drew my seat back and got on my feet. Her eyes followed my movements religiously as I walked to where she was standing. “My Luna,” I repeated as I stood directly in front of her. My wolf jerked up as Icelyn's eyes fell on my abs. She looked them over and her lips unconsciously parted.
