Mage of Wolves
He was a tall, thin guy with red curly hair, glasses, and braces, and I immediately wondered why a mage wouldn’t just fix his teeth and his eyes, but then I remembered that I was there to answer questions, not ask them.
Maggie came in with a cart full of glasses, ice, and a pitcher of water. She gave Mage Jaye a glass first, then me, and then Ben, before she asked the students if they would like any. All of them said no thank you except for the last guy who’d come in. Once Maggie was done, Mage Jaye cleared her throat, and I took a long swallow of water, glad to have something to sooth my throat. It was drier than I had realized.
