We’re cradle witches, descendants of the original witch Rowena. We’re also the only ones with the power of Blood Affinity”, she added.

Cassandra's frantic heart thumped against her ribcage. She bucked and kicked her feet, but the monster's arms held her down like an octopus's. Then it twirled her body around. Cassandra finally came face to face with her captor. She saw through the clear water, a beautiful red-haired maiden wearing light, sheer robes as though made of mist. Her sleek icy pale body clung to the mortal girl while her green eyes blazed like two balls of glowing jade. Her melodious voice seemed to vibrate from the very molecule of the water.

She said then sped off, disappearing out of the kitchen. "Children." Larisa signed and arranged the things the princess had scattered. Ruby rode a horse while Rose and Lilly followed closely behind her with another. They could have gone with the royal carriage, but Ruby found it burdensome. Mattias flew above the princess but not too far. They arrived at the rainbow river and they all unmounted their horses. Ruby went to the thick block rail and placed her hands on it. She began to watch the river as her handmaidens pet the horses and think about her faintly remembered life.

She said all she needed was the crystals Nick had of hers. "I need to speak with Sawyer and find out exactly what is so important about me and find a way to change it. I don't want to have to look over my shoulder for the rest of my life," Raija growled sourly. "The Moon Goddess is telling me to inform her that she is a Moon Sorceress and much more powerful than even her mother and that you are her foundation," Cota growled. Looking at Raija I could see her brow creased and figured her wolf was telling her what Cota just told me. Her eyes met mine and she said," I'm not sure what any of that means but know that I must get my crystals!"

But the again, the thought vanished at the remembrance of her betrayal. "Looks like I wasn't wrong after all," Nathan teased at me as we all settled at what looks like a bar somewhere around the reception. Jane had gone to join the party of a group of people dancing to the rhythm like it's their last. Fair enough! Atleast, I'd be free from her chatter and absurdity for the time being. I just have to enjoy it while it last. I sighed at Nathan's statement as I gulp down a glass of wine. "Guys, did you see the bridesmaid? Heaven, she looks so breath taking," Silas said.

the maid whispered, visibly shaking. “I’m fine,” I said quickly, though I wasn’t sure I believed it myself. “I’m… fine.” But I wasn’t. Nothing was fine. I was standing in another woman’s body. A Queen’s body. If this was real, if someone found out I wasn’t her, I could actually die. I swallowed hard. “Sorry, but… what year is this?” The girl hesitated, looking terrified of giving the wrong answer. “It’s… 1438 AE, Your Majesty.”

Freya laughs while shaking her head, as I cringe remembering the sound of Raven tearing him apart. “I know it would have been scary to watch, but I do know Raven would never hurt me. When she’s in that state she only recognizes her mates and me, though I’ve been the only one who can pull her out,” I explain while running my fingers through Roan’s beautiful red hair and watch Anarchy sleep comfortably in Freya’s arms. “You’re her twin, you two have a very unique connection as sisters and Goddesses of life and death, it’ll be hard when we move to the castle,” Freya admits while watching Aiden stomp around as he holds onto the furniture.

~LILY'S POV~ As I approached the grove, my heart sank at the sight that greeted me. The once serene and harmonious place now lay in shambles, scattered with remnants of a fierce battle. Broken branches, destroyed sheds, torn foliage, and the lingering scent of blood filled the air. The training field which I once knew as calming spot now painted a picture of the chaos that had unfolded. I saw a little girl hiding under a dismantled part of the car, shivering in fear and so I went to meet her:

A gentle breeze caresses her face as she ventures down the path that, from now on, will be her usual route. However, she does not notice the peculiar raven that follows her closely. The raven, with black feathers and a piercing gaze, seems to have become enraged upon discovering Maya's fate. Its flight is silent, but its presence is undeniable, a mysterious shadow that hangs over Maya's journey.

I couldn't tell from the pale blue light of the sky as I watched the two women scurry down from the opposite wing of the living quarters to squeal in the open-roofed courtyard between the two blocks. “Saints,” I heard myself gasp, unable to believe my eyes when I watched Raya and the mysterious girl that had come with her jump around in the rain, the olive-skinned woman’s dark wavy hair was matted to her face and back, the brightest smile I had ever seen plastered across her face as she stared at the near-nude woman who was fighting her along. I felt my wolf stir inside me, something primal and possessive that called out to her and wanted her to look at me like that, laugh at me like that.
