I'm Your Stepping Stone but His Gem

I'm Your Stepping Stone but His Gem

A few drops of blood dripped into a porcelain dish. Bowen then pulled out a packet of powder and sprinkled it into the dish. Instantly, the blood turned a purplish-black. His brows furrowed deeply. "Veilroot Bloom. This is a poison so rare that it hasn't been seen in a century. It's colorless, odorless, and slow-acting." Shocked and furious, I asked, "Where did this poison even come from?" "The plant grows deep in the mountains, and people generally can't get their hands on it."

Mr. and Mrs. Walker

Mr. and Mrs. Walker

Once at home, Miranda unfolded the note and was taken aback. Not for any other reason, but for the few lines written on the paper: "Due to your lack of judgment, Nathaniel's current poison can't be solely treated with poison ivy. It also requires the venom of Cape cobras. "Starting today, have Nathaniel pick poison ivy from your backyard every day and capture Cape cobras. As long as he persists for a week, the poison will be completely cured." "Cape cobras, too?" Miranda suddenly felt dizzy, but for the sake of her son, she had to remain strong.

His Poisoned Rose

His Poisoned Rose

David states furmly as the guard hesitates for a bit but let us out anyway. The mansion boasts a stunning garden at the front, with a neatly paved road cutting through its lush greenery. The vibrant flowers, in full bloom, fill the air with their intoxicating aroma, making the entire scene feel almost surreal. But this breathtaking view is merely a prelude. It reminds me of that dream I dreamt in which I saw my mother.

Unexpected Love: The Alpha Who Married Me

Unexpected Love: The Alpha Who Married Me

By now I had already finished picking all of the herbs and vegetables that I needed. Well, except for one. Tynil was one plant that I was familiar with that grew very widely everywhere. It was dark blue and had a slightly sweet aroma. It was well-known as an ornamental plant, but very people knew that it was also poisonous in the right doses. I had studied poisons in college for one semester and I was pretty sure that I knew how to extract the poison from the flower, and what dose to apply.

Codename: Blackheart

Codename: Blackheart

I say patting his shoulder as I make my out to my mother’s greenhouse. When it comes to poisons, my mother prefers to use naturally occurring poisons rather than chemical ones, so she grows and maintains them herself. In a weird way, the greenhouse is her armoury. It’s a stunning and expansive enclosure with a variety of flora, and while the greenhouse looks like the most exquisite garden you may ever see, with everything neatly arranged, what you’re really walking into is a room full of deadly weapons. Rule number one of mother’s greenhouse: no touching, unless wearing gloves. My mother is actually a very skilled botanist with a great love and respect for plants. Growing up I used to call h

This was my favorite book from this author. It was so entertaining from start to finish, and was incredibly well written. I don't normally read this genre, but knew it would be good, as all her work is amazing. It exceeded my expectations. I am hooked and can't wait for the next book in the series!

My Unsuspecting Mate

My Unsuspecting Mate

The plant in the enclosed glass was light purple, flooded with dimly lit light, embedded in the enclosed space. Cole recognised the plant. It was Monkshood also known as Wolfsbane, originated in England. It was a very poisonous plan used as a poison for arrowheads when hunting wolves and its effect was instant and deadly. It is said that the neurotoxins, aconitine and mesaconitine can be absorbed through the skin and cause severe respiratory and cardiac problems which would lead to death. Cole knew it was an effective poison for both humans and Werewolves. The smallest dose used on Isabelle had knocked her out. He grew angry all over again, recalling how that bastard could have caused Isabel

Overnight Magnate

Overnight Magnate

Logan immediately asked, "What!? Mr. Pascal, are you saying that the poison in Etiennette's body is Dhorin?" Hubert nodded, his expression filled with grief and desolation, as he said, "This is a poison that can be purchased on the Dark Web! When I went to Ansela, I witnessed the local gangs purchasing it! Dhorin is a highly poisonous substance created by mixing toxins from various venomous snakes and poisonous plants found on hundreds of islands in Indonaspar, along with modern synthetic toxins. Currently, there is no antidote in the world." No antidote! It felt like a bomb exploded in Logan's head! All the hopes in his heart were rapidly diminishing.

The Pirate Who Stole My Heart

The Pirate Who Stole My Heart

Vienna smiled and nod which give relief to the poor man. "Plants like Jimson Weed, Mandrake, or Deadly Nightshade." She explained. "What do you think is the plant that causes this whole thing?" Jake asked that surprised Vienna. She thought the man doesn't have any plan to speak up anymore. "Most likely the Deadly Nightshade knew as Belladonna. By merely touching it can damage and poison humans, then what if it was mixed in the water? The effect is slow but can still cause hallucinations and maybe that is what causes this undying illness." Vienna demystified.

HIS POISONOUS POSSESSION

HIS POISONOUS POSSESSION

But here, in the dim, flickering light of the dying fire, he looked up at Ivy with eyes that were no longer just golden; they were shattered. The scratches on his arm, where Ivy’s nails had carved into his skin during the peak of their visceral union, were not glowing with magic—they were weeping a dark, sluggish fluid that seemed to drain the very iron from his resolve. The "poison" Ivy had mentioned wasn't a supernatural curse; it was a potent, concentrated sedative found in the hidden compartment of the 1890 box, a "last resort" the first Isabella had prepared for a Moretti who refused to be tamed.

Lise asked. “I don’t know” I sat back, feeling more than a little defeated. “The letters match – it could be either” “Don’t worry. We’re further than we were and I think we’re on the right track. Rasmus had the latest victims tested and they had love pea – er – jequirity bean – still in their system. As well as nightshade. So I think our assumption that its not the full word is the right one” I nodded, but didn’t feel too much better about it. I started flicking through the book on poisons, racking my brain for anything that might give us an edge so we wouldn’t be here all day and all night.
