Maya’s POV “Zay-Zay.” “Zay-Zay.” “Zay-Zay.” The triplets were at it again—giggling and crawling at full speed, their tiny paws slapping the stone floor like a coordinated army of chaos. They sat in silence for a while, the condensation from the cups dripping onto the table. Zara watched her closely. “Is it about the guy?” Maya stayed quiet. “You’ve got that look.” “What look?” “The one where you’re building castles out of maybe and already planning the collapse.” Maya snorted. “You’re dramatic.”
